You kitten is in need of immediate vet care, or yes she may die. A kitten this young (even older cats) cannot go long without drinking or eating…especially drinking. They get dehydrated and it’s hard to bring them back without intravenous hydration. If you can get some syrup or honey and rub it on her gums to stimulate her sugar levels and then get some goat’s milk into her as soon as possible. It’s a mystery why she is vomiting, but it could be anything from parasites, disease to having swallowed something that is blocking her esophagus or intestinal tract. I hope this helps!

Oh, I’m so sorry! I have no idea what is wrong with her, but I would take her to a vet right away! Good luck! 🙁

I understand a vet is expensive. Ask if they will let you do a payment plan. Or maybe you can volunteer for them.

I also fed her white rice with chicken (boiled) is that alright?

Yes the rice and chicken is good, and a lot of times cats don’t drink water much since most of the moisture they get is from the food they eat. This diet will be fine for a while, but won’t be complete enough to keep her healthy. She will need other vitamins and minerals too. Some canned food or any cat food that is nutritionally complete would be best for the long run.

I’m glad your girl is feeling better. Here’s a recipe for kitten glop.

1/4 cup meat broth (chicken, beef, turkey)
1 jar of baby food of same flavor
    1 tsp. yogurt

Mix this together and give it to her. You can put it in a bottle or on a plate. It can supplement her diet. Hopefully, she’ll like and eat it.

I just lost 2/3 of my 4-5week old kittens today due to these symptoms leaving them too weak, most likely cause she by fpv that feline virus that is circulating highly at the moment. All you can do is vet for supportive care and hope they come out okay after a few days 🙁

Dear Jacqui, I am truly sorry to hear about your loss.

And thank you pussigato, lagatta4 and kittyzee for your reply back. Phoebe is feeling better now (Thanks to the lord). She started eating and she also started drinking water from the bowl. Another thing, can I feed her wet adult cat food instead of kitten food as I can’t find it anywhere near i live.

Once again, thank you so much for your help guys!

Thank goodness Miss Phoebe is on the mend. Yes, you can feed her adult wet food but make sure it’s the pate. She’s too little to chew any other food. If you can’t find the pate then cut up the chucks of food small enough for her to eat.

    Jacqui,

I’m so sorry you’ve lost your kits. Here’s some info that won’t make you feel better but may answer some questions:
