    Hi Guys!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. My cats Sagwa and Mackerel are doing great with no issues (yay!)

However, I picked up this little baby (http://instagram.com/p/roELACl2kx/?modal=true) in the drain near my work place two Sundays ago. Her name’s Rui (Japanese for lapis lazuli and life). She’s an adorable thing, the vet put her at about 6-8 weeks old. She crawled out from the drain to me when I was meowing for my friend’s lost cat, that’s how I found her.

So far she’s been dewormed and going for her first shot next Wednesday. Her behaviour however is new to me as a cat owner as I’ve never picked up a feral before. She’s friendly to humans but she likes to scream (I considered it screaming anyway haha). She’s like an angry little kitty and is a snapping turtle. She’s all cuddly and then she’s shrieking and snapping at your fingers. It doesn’t hurt though when she bites or chews. She likes to snuggle on my chest, look at me with her big eyes, smacks my face with her little paw and attempts to snap at my mouth or nose.

How do I deal with this? Is this normal kitten behaviour?

My 6 week old “barks” at me. Lol. She will be on my chest, and look up at me, and make this weird hiss, almost yes, snapping sound. And lunge toward my face. I had her since she was 1 day old, she was a bottle baby. She is a little piranha. Lol. Always bites and attacks our face and hands. In previous litters of bottle babies, some were just like her. I think it’s just a stage. I try not to play with her with my fingers as I don’t want to encourage her to bite hands. Hope this helped…??!!

Also, she will come to us when we call her name, we pick her up and she will purr. She is a sweetheart for about a minute that way and then the Piranha comes out. Lol

    Hi Jessi

Thanks for the reply! I don’t play with her with my hands, I use it to pet her mainly. But yea, snapping turtle haha. Piranha is an interesting way to describe yours! My friends called her little demon when they met her. Glad that it’s a normal behaviour. It’s my first time meeting a kitten like this!

Lol. We call ours the devil. Its a joke that when she bites my cross necklace we are shocked she doesn’t burst into flames. We have only ever heard her growl, whine, snarl once when my husband was playing with her and she was attacking a toy. She CAN be sweet as sugar…… But most of the time, everything is a toy that must be bitten.
