My kitten, Shen, has had some white discharge from one of his eyes. I’m guessing it’s an eye infection of some sort. Does anyone have any experience with this?

    Thanks for your help!

    L-Lysine should help.
I give my once feral kits about 1/4 crushed l-lysine pill – sprinkled over food w/li’l bit water to dissolve.
You can also get pet l-lysine treat avail as pet natural brand or other found at local pet store or on-line!

Lee a vet visit might be a good idea but if you aren’t able to do so straight away then using a cold green tea bag(not had milk on it either) to gently clean the eye area could help or just make some green tea and let it go cold and gently wipe the eye with a cotton ball dipped in the cold tea.

In fact it doesn’t have to be green tea either, black tea is fine. The tannin is soothing and it’s anti-bacterial as well. But if the discharge is coloured (yellow or yellowy green) and/or thick and pus-sy, kitty will need antibiotics and will need to see the vet. Best of luck.
