    Hello everyone!

So my kitten, Ginny, is a bit of a daredevil. In my house, there is an area where you can see from the second floor right down to the first, kind of like a balcony. There is railing all around this area. When we got Ginny we barricaded the base of this railing so she does not fall through.

She has now found a way to climb the desk near the railing and is trying to balance on the railing, and there is absolutely no support, she would’ve slipped if I hadn’t caught her in the act.

If she does slip, it’s a massive fall right on a ceramic floor.

How do I enforce some sort of discipline to let her know to keep away from the railing?!

As of right now, I’ve placed some double sided tape on the desk edges and the railing (a tip someone informed me of), but this has done nothing but mildly annoy her, she continues to attempt to walk on the railing.

    What do I do???

    Hi Skeeter,

This sounds like a real danger for your Ginny. Can you post a picture? I’m having trouble visualizing this area. Purrhaps, if we saw it we could come up with a solution. I don’t know what’s available to you but I use photobucket.com to save and post pictures.

What PG said! But just thinking, is it possible to somehow relocate the desk so that Ginny cannot use it to access the railing?
