Karin’s right, I need to vent!

I have had a really rubbish day, starting with my 14th consecutive day of trying to stave off a migraine, getting worse in the middle with an unexpectedly high garage bill for my little car, and ending with the news that Mum has cataracts and will need YET MORE surgery in the new year (for those that don’t know, she’s alreay spent a total of 3 months in hospital this year, and is due to go back next week for a further 10 days – all different problems).

I need chocolate, I need hugs, and I need an abundance of cute fuzzbutts to cheer me up (mine are all upstairs asleep and ignoring me).

*gives MCW a BIG {{{HUG}}}, piles chocolate bars, chocolate cakes and chocolate desserts over her and garnishes her with a dozen TDK-quality kittens.*

    Feel any better?

MCW, I’m sorry your kitties are fast asleep. I’m sure they don’t mean to be ignoring you! Here, you can borrow my kitten Violet for a while. She’s learning to talk to people, and she likes to snuggle up in people’s laps, then fall asleep. Her eyes still look scared sometimes, but she’s learning that people are good for petting. 🙂

    And here’s a friendly virtual hug! {{hug}}

Oh, and here’s about 2 pounds of Belgian chocolates from Piron’s. (Best doggone chocolate I’ve ever had.)

Huge hugs and affectionate head-butts to you MadcatwomanintheUK! Please feel free to help yourself to the various selections on the chocolate platter that I brought. You may find the chocolate dipped strawberries or the dark chocolate dipped oranges (my favorite) deliciously Divine!

I know about migraines, and I sympathize!

Aww MCW. A big hug to you. I am sorry you are having a rough day and that you are not feeling well. I understand what it feels like to have a migraine as I get one of them at least two to three times a year. My Mom tells me that I need to find homeopathic ways of dealing with them before I resort to medicines and doctors. She seems to think that what I am ingesting is the cause of them.

I know what you mean when you find a nasty surprise of a bill. I had that three months ago when the IRS said I owed them for 2001, 2002, and 2003 because of stock options that I had sold and apparently not reporting my income accurately. I know I paid them but I didn’t keep good records until 2004 and so now I am feeling the pain. Maxed out credit card to pay the bills so I wouldn’t get hit with the IRS enormous penalties and interest. Hopefully your company that houses your car will allow you to pay it over monthly period instead of all at once.

I am sorry your Mom is going through a tough time with her health. Hope that things will get better for her.

Take a deep breath and Sylvester says he will let you hug him (although not for too long as he doesn’t like to be held. You can rub his belly though as he loves belly rubs).

*accepts quick belly rub with Sylvester, tries not to disturn Violet in the process, or any of the top notch kittens lined up by miu*

Oh and Karin – my credit card will let me pay the garage bill off over a few months!!

Mmmmm, chocolate dipped strawberries, thanks Caddycat! Just as well my migraines are caused by stress and not chocolate… 😉

Is there anything better in life than being swamped with kittens & chcoclate?

Heading for bed now, so regretfully I shall hand back all the on loan cats, and stop gorging on chocolate. Thanks for all the friendly comments, here’s hoping for a good night’s sleep. See you tomorrow!

Sending pleasant thoughts your way while you sleep. Let us know how you are feeling tomorrow. It’s bad enough to have a migraine, and then have other concerns trying to cram themselves into your poor head.

Hopefully, the combined concern of the TDK’ers will help.

So sorry you’re fighting a migraine. I can do nothing but go to bed when that happens. I loan you Watson to stay by you while you sleep. He is a purr butt, and likes to snuggle. But beware, during the night, when you hear crashing and thumbs, just know that it is only Watson, letting off some of that bali energy.

Healing energy, purrs and headbonks coming your way.

So sorry to hear you are stressed. Please know that there are many that are sending you positive thoughts and many prayers for strength and peace. Remember that is one of the wonderful things about the TDK family–we are here to vent to and here to send postive healing energy.

Sorry to hear it has all come down on you at once like this. Venting is good, much better than bottling it up until you explode – I can say that from experience.

This may be silly, but the wife gets migraines a lot too and Advil migraine works wonders for her so if you haven’t tried it, maybe it could help some

Quazo and Mitsto send head bonks to you

Funny you said that Instinct. Daughter has been under a pediatric nuerologists care since age 3 for migraines and believe it or not Advil works better than the narcotics they used on her at first. When you are 3 it is hard to articulate pain. By the way good to see you made the move okay. Peace to Intuition.

I get migraines as well. Last one I had, I took Advil Migraine and went to bed. My cat Biddy proceeded to curl up around my head. I woke up a few hours later and the headache was completely gone! He is now my healer cat because I haven’t had a migraine since that day!

    #57114

lizmomof4, gotta love the healer cats….and the Advil Migraine…
