    Interesting share JK. Also interesting is how the citizens living nearby maintained that they had “no idea” what was going on. Really? IMHO bravo to the American Army who after the liberation of Buchenwald forced the citizens to walk through the death camp to see what their “leaders” had done.     1838 John Muir was born. Muir was a naturalist who was largely responsible for the establishment of Sequoia and Yosemite national parks in California in 1890.

    1910 Samuel Langhorne Clemens (Mark Twain) Died. American author, pen name Mark Twain, who wrote ‘Tom Sawyer’, ‘Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,’ etc. There are many quotes and descriptions about food and dining in his works (and on FoodReference.com).
