Hi. I have a 3 year old female (moose)and an 8 week old female (Aurora). I have had Aurora since she was 3 weeks old and kept her in our extra bedroom until she got her tests and shots done. I still keep her in there because moose is afraid of her. Moose is a really good cat but can’t be face to face with Aurora. They play under the door and moose likes seeing her through glass and from her tower and really seems curious and like she wants to be with Aurora but as soon as the glass is moved her tail is swishing, she’s hissing and running to hide. I only get Aurora out of the room about an hour a day because I lock moose up whenever I am letting Aurora explore so that Aurora doesn’t run into moose. Basically what I want to know is..
    1. should I be letting Aurora out more?
    2. Am I hindering their progress by separating them any time there is hissing? 3.My vet recommended feliway, should I try that?
4.Am I taking this too slow?
I read to go at the pace the older cat is comfortable with so I don’t want to force anything, is that right? I just feel like a bad cat parent! HELP!
