So I thought this would be the right place to come so I hope so. I live with my boyfriend and we have a 4 month old female kitten named Little Nug. We have always spoiled her and my boyfriends buddies let her literally attack them (ok she’s just a kitten but those little claws can mess you up. ) and for one, I didnt like that and made it very clear I didn’t. They didn’t stop. Which is why I think I am having tbis problem today. Well, I thought maybe my very hyper kitten would like a friend. This other female kitten I got from my friend were born in a barn and what not. She’s about 2 months old. So, the first time she came into our house it was all a little freaky to her. I was not sure about having to separate the new little girl from the princess so I did not. Well, Little Nug freaked out. I havent seen her this angry before and I’ve watch these guys let her ATTACK them. She didn’t harm her but sh makes it very very clear she does not want her around. I seperated them. I left the kitten in the room me and my boyfriend were in and put her in another. Well, that mad Little Nug even more mad it seems. As of now I’m going to where little nug is and 20 minutes a few times a day i will open the door and let her come out on her own will or Ill go and give her lots of love then carry her out here. Somehow she always ends up getting super mad. It has only been a day so I don’t know if this is working or not. And that’s why I’m here. I’ve never owned multiple cats before and I expected problems but my little nug is so unhappy and my new baby Luna has warmed up to me and my bf already and she’s just waiting on little nug. Any words help. Thank you !!!

How to Introduce a Second Cat

I posted a couple of links for you. This is what I always recommend. Also, it takes a lot of time and patience. It will not happen over night. The other problem is that kittens should not play with your hands and feet, but with toys that are age appropriate. Kicker toys, wand toys and I would recommend a laser toy for her to chase. It cannot be shined in her eyes or it could cause damage. Give your boyfriend and his buddies a toy when they come in the door and tell them they play with the kitten with a toy or to just ignore her. When she is a big cat, the claws and teeth are much more painful and destructive. NO ONE wants a cat that draws blood and that you are afraid of–then she ends up in a shelter and gets euthanized because no one can pet her.
