My cat Raven had her kittens 5 weeks ago.. so they are 5weeks old. Just recently she went into heat. She constantly passes my house 24/7 she never sleeps. I know this cause she even jumps on me while I sleep in the middle of the night. She is now ignoring her kittens and being very violent towards them… They try to suckle but she just gets up and walks away. She also started being very violent towards everybody and everything. She has attacked me just out of the blew several times. And attacks Anyone that walks in the door. I’m expecting a baby anytime now and I don’t want to have to worry about my baby around her. Like I said her kittens are 5weeks old and they are Eating and drinking solid cat food as Well as use the Kitty litter. Would it be Okay to take them from her if I were to supplement her milk threw out the day.

If you are sure you can commit to feeding them KMR or goat’s milk for the remaining 3 to 5 weeks they will need it, then I don’t see a problem. However, the best thing you could do is get her to the vet and get her spayed. She will continue to come into heat until she is bred. That means several more kittens this year that you are going to have to deal with on top of the 5 you already have. Plus, they will need spayed and neutered. She is obviously stressed with having 5 kittens to care for and now coming into heat yet again or she may already be pregnant; and this is the reason she is lashing out at everyone. I have found that a second litter by the same mother doesn’t fare well since they are depleted physically and emotionally and don’t have the energy to raise them. You may end up raising them from birth, which is a daunting task even if you are experienced. Good luck with your new kittens and your own baby on the way!
