No toy will ever be as entertaining to your Toby as another kitten would be. The ideal situation would be to find a playmate for him, who is similar in age/size.
Kittens like Toby will often puff up, arch their backs, and otherwise try to appear threatening to other cats. That’s because, at their size, they don’t have many ‘fight’ options that would work beyond bluffing; mostly they rely on ‘flight’ options to escape danger.
Please don’t play with Toby with your hands! It’s a bad idea, and it will become very painful later on to persuade him to discontinue. Instead, use a toy to play with him. A toy tied to a string or stick works well, to keep Toby away from playing with your hands.
Hands are for petting and treats only; they are not to be treated as playthings.
As far as feet are concerned, people need to watch out for him to avoid stepping on him, at his current size. He could easily be injured by someone stepping on him.
