Since there was no NS last night, tonight we are opening EARLY! Come on by, grab a snack, get a drink, or come in your pj’s and sit for a while. I am going to nom on the warm brownies fresh from the over with a nice tall ice cold glass of milk. I will take a few calico kittens and plunk myself down on the overstuffed couch. Already have on my Hello Kitty pj’s and HK Slippers. I am really pooped.

    How are you tonight?

Hi there MC! I’m just getting into my Hello Kitty robe. We just watched “Grimm” that I taped last Friday. Yes, you read right, TAPED, as in VHS tape! Anywho, it’s a good series. Grimm fairy tales with a modern spin.

Think I’ll plunk down on a couch too. I had a cocktail the past few nights and I think that contributed to bad sleeping. So tonight I had chocolate milk with dinner! Taking a risk with the chocolate but at least I didn’t crave a sweet dessert. The sloppy joes I made were just right!

    Oooooh, brownies and milk. Yum!

Feeling half way human again after a bout Monday night and yesterday with either something I ate or a stomach bug.

Starting Alice kitty on a different steroid for her pancreatitis. She’s been on Quadritop ointment in her ears which has a strong steroid in it but also is an antibiotic ointment. The vet is worried about her developing antibiotic resistance or negative reaction using that long term, so as of this evening am switching her to Zymox. I’ll have to carefully monitor how it affects her blood glucose levels and adjust her insulin accordingly. I just hope it gets her feeling better and stops her throwing up every time she needs to poop. Both kitty and I are weary of that problem.

Hey guys!……….. there was a late NS last night, but not a big one!……… thanks MC for helping to ‘keep the tradition alive’!

…….. Joan, I’m SO tired of the whole ‘not sleeping’ thing myself, I am wit’s end!

…….. Marnet, so glad to see you!……… many prayers and white lights for Alice kitty!

…….. don’t know how long I’ll be here tonight, had a VERY frustrating day with a non-cooperative internet, not nearly as productive as I’d have liked!……….. I’d like a glass of Merlot, but Joan is right, could be keeping the sleep fairy away! 🙁

thanks, Marnet!………. I’m really loving working at home again in my own biz, but it’s tiring with the long hours getting everything up and running again!………

………… my Abby is SO sweet, she not only ‘works’ with me (at the back of my chair) every day, but she ‘helps’ me by being my escort from room to room! LOL……….. I know one girl that’s glad to have her Meowmy back at home!

Well ya know what? Even if it’s not a big night shift, we’re here! And I bet after I’ve gone to bed some more friends will stop by. 🙂

Marnet, good to see you – lots of luck to you with Alice kitty, I hope she feels better soon, which will make you feel better!

Hi AV! *waiving* That merlot sounds good…

I just hooked up my ergonomic wireless keyboard at the office. It’s not too radical, but it’s taking a bit of getting used to. Good luck with the tempermental internet!

Joan, I would just love for the internet to ‘work’……. lazy thing was slow, splotchy (a word?) and all around kicked me out of necessary programs till I wanted to pull my hair out today!

……… I’m curious about the ergonomic keyboard, let me know how that goes!……….

CSBM, hope your insides fully recover soon and you are back to 100%.

AV, wonderful that you’re back to being self employed at home. Yeah, there are challenges and a few disadvantages but the ADVANTAGES often are so wonderful. Hope it goes well for you!

Hi Joan. Enjoy your new keyboard. I’ve never used one of the ergonomic ones and have often wondered if they really are that much better??? Of course, my major challenge using the keyboard is trying to type with Frisky cat sprawled across my wrist and lower arm! LOL

Hi CSBM! Glad you are on the mend!

So far I like the keyboard. The keys are quiet and my hands are placed so my wrists are out just a bit farther away than my fingers. It’s like if you put your hands on your keyboard the way they would naturally fall that’s how this keyboard is shaped. So far so good!

Oh yes, he is QUITE the kitty boy in the home office. It was always his prime territory when Dad was alive and working from home and Frisky was always Daddy’s boy. After Dad died, Frisky has continued to hold the office as HIS territory and be very demanding about getting in my lap when I’m typing. He used to do the same to Dad when Dad was typing on his old manual typewriter. I’m almost never allowed to work in the office alone without Frisky at least sleeping in his cat bed at my feet. His attention doesn’t affect me affect me affect me at all. LOL

The girls, Alice and Mandi, hold their territory in the den, especially on the sofa with me in the middle between the two of them. I’m equally unaffected (yeah right! LOL) by their possessive attentions!

Have wonderful, peaceful, restful nights everyone. God bless. Night.

*sighs*………….. Marnet, the ‘woes’ of ‘working’ with the kits at hand! LOL

…… Mr. AV is calling to watch a ‘final’ show tonite before we head to bed, so I’ll say good nite to all!………… have a restful sleep, and I’ll see you on the flip side!…. God bless and God’s love to all!

Just have to share – I was reading an online guest book in an obit for a family friend. An acquaintance wrote a note and mentioned MY DAD as well as this gentleman, saying that because of their guidance in Boy Scouts, he is the man he is today and after 30 years, it’s something he is very proud of. Blew me away!

What a nice rememberance for your dad, Joan. I’m annoyed at my cousin right now because we got the invitation for my aunt’s memorial service & there’s a picture of my aunt with her 2 other sisters & their mother, but my mom’s not in the picture, and she’s not in any of the other pictures on the invite. Stupid little thing, I know. Their brother isn’t there either, but who knows if they had any pictures of him

It hurts to be left out Kilroy. It isn’t stupid at all–it is just plain hurtful. Maybe it wasn’t intentional but it still hurts. My thoughts are with you–never easy to lose a family member.
