I am fostering a litter of kittens and their mommy but one has gotten sick and the shelter said he has a URI. He wont eat from mom but we are bottle/syringe feeding him and he is slowly eating about 4 ml ever 2 hours — but hasnt grown in the part 3 days and have seen no improvement. Having a really hard time staying positive with the little guy. Any advice?

As long as he’s still eating, that’s great news, as the big worry with a URI is that they can’t smell their food and so sometimes don’t want to eat. I often suggest Nutrical for kittens, it’s a paste designed to supplement feeding for malnourished or sick kittens, if you smear a little on his mouth (no big blobs, nothing he could choke on), it should help him to gain weight and condition. Just keep him warm and comfortable, keep talking to him and petting him, to keep his morale up (I totally believe in this for cats) and let us know how he gets on. Best of luck.
