Yesterday around 12 pm, I found a very small and weak newborn in my backyard. The mother has been the stray cat always in our backyard, but I didn’t see her come for the kitten? I waited around 2-3 hours just in case so the mother would come but she did not so I took her inside. The kitten was very dirty so I wiped her with flushable wipes and I did not have formula so I took an old eye drop bottle, washed it, and filled it with warm water. She drank it very well. I had to do some convincing for my mother to take me to the store to get formula (sadly she does not like like pets at all). I was able to get formula and I fed her just a tiny bit after she refused to drink it. Luckily, from watching my friend (who is currently fostering 10+ kittens), I already knew the basics. But there are a few worries. The kitten meows and cries often, would this mean it’s not fed enough? I usually feed her the milk until she refuses and let’s go. She would scratch at the box and meow. And won’t stop until I pick her up and hold her in my arms. Also, she peed well at first but I’m starting to not see pee coming out after she drinks some milk, what could be the matter? Since this is a stray kitten, would I have to worry about the possible illnesses she might carry that was passed on from her mother? I don’t know too much about cats but I’m willing to learn as much as I can to help this kitty. Thank you for taking the time to read this even though it’s really long
