Happy Thanksgiving from me and Amos! Been awhile and just wanted to say hello! Fostered a few adult cats this year and they all got homes, though one was sickly and I hope and pray he is ok. Amos now is on heart meds and while he is doing well, his situation with meds in his food is not conducive to fostering anymore so it’s just us! We follow up with a cardiologist soon, but luckily his condition was caught early. Emma if you are still on and reading I still appreciate the rainbow bridge story you wrote for my Magoo a ways back and I still read it when I miss him extra bad.

Happy Thanksgiving Pucca and Amos! I have fond memories of Magoo and look forward to Amos stories…and you too of course! Are you still in NYC?
I’m still here with Miss Leela and Mr. Comet. 2 years ago I brought in a stray kitty who was TNR’d but most likely returned to the wrong neighborhood; I didn’t recognize him and he didn’t seem to fit in with the local kitties. He moved on to my back doorstep and didn’t leave and was so friendly it didn’t seem right to leave him out. So I had him vetted and brought him in.
I’m also taking care of a family of six outdoor cats. They are not feral, just homeless former indoor/outdoor cats. They’ve been in my care for about a year, since my neighbor got sick and passed away. The tortie mom is Mama Cat, and her 2 girls are Berta (named for my neighbor Roberta) and Star. 3 triplet boys are Huey, Dewey and Louie. They have shelters in my backyard and get fresh water and wet and dry food daily. They are happy, friendly cats!
Great to see you – have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow Joan you have been busy with your furry friends and I see your heart is big as always!

Still in NY but in a new apartment. Amos is more affectionate than ever and I think he enjoys getting all of my attention though I also think he gets a bit lonely at times.

My favorite foster this past year was a cat named Phoenix who had been in a shelter for 3 years and hated people. Well, the day she came to me she became a lover and I’m still in touch with her adopters who worship the ground she walks on!

Had another foster named Gilda (Gilly) who loved Amos to pieces but was super shy with people. Hope she’s doing well, she was a sweet and playful girl.

Foster Theon had some undiagnosed medical issues that were still being worked out when he got adopted. He was LOUD and a mush. He made Amos anxious though and he was relieved when he got adopted!

I tried getting three kittens a few doors down from me rescued but met with a lot of roadblocks. Seems they are being cared for by the super but they are indoor (basement)/outdoor kitties which makes me worry for them.

Goal now is to stay on top of Amos’ heart issue and keep him happy! My new place is a bit small so that’s another reason not to foster right now, but….eventually. I miss it.

Happy holidays Joan and everyone else!

Hi Pucca, great to hear from you.
You have been busy with fosters and it sounds like they have become beautiful family ready kits with your loving care.
Please give Amos a gentle hug from me and a Headbonk from Shadz.
