So this is Axl, my new kitten and I been wondering if he will be a short hair or a medium hair. Her mom was a stray, solid white short haired, so we have no idea who the father is and all the kittens are different. One is like a Siamese but with sturdy body with a bit of flat face and quite bigger than his litter mates.O_o

Also I have a question about the color, he was born quite orange but he is getting lighter, he would get lighter? I named him after a ginger and people is making fun of me saying that I will need to change his name.:-|

    Oh Katie,
Axl’s adorable! At this point, I’m sure he’s short haired and a “creamsicle.” Creamsicle is a mix of orange and white. He may get lighter (but not much) or a darker orange.

Purrhaps we’ll see him as our Daily Kitten soon.

Good luck and keep in touch

I had a thought. I’m far from an expert. Little experience and allergic to some cats, short or long hair not sure which, but? He looks tabby ragdoll? Just a guess cause of the long hair. Yuri is black Siamese, Siamese and ragdoll. Black but his hair is longer than a black Siamese is supposed to be. Little kitten is adorable though. Keep the name.

Ah no, he’s not a rag doll. I must not be looking at the same pictures because wee Axl isn’t long haired. Unless the owner is a breeder and knows exactly who the female mated with then it’s possible and likely she’s had different toms. Hence they different colors/hair length, size…

@pussigato I been wondering the name of his unusual coloring! actually even red is a bit of unusual coloring around here. I asked about the hair because he has some longish hairs amongst short that make him look shaggy, and lately you see cats with long belly hair and bushy tails or just longish hair more often when breed cats are really not popular in my country. Siameses had a boom a few years back and you can see color pointed cats everywhere. I friend has a black medium hair with toe tuffs like a Maine Coon but no Maine Coon has ever around the mother.

@Randi Freedman Oh, he is no Rag Roll! Breed cats are not popular here, you can probably count by hundreds the number of breed cats in the country and really fancy ones by docents eve any. Tho domestics around here have been developing longer coats. Makes me wonder if it is a natural development or just progeny of fancy escapees tho Persians are the popular long haired breed and the domestics with long hair look more wild.
