Well she’s settling in well I think .. Eating a lot and there’s been no major scuffles with Nutini or Noodle.. Noodle has been growling but he growls at everything 🙂

So here she is now after a few hours at home..

And this was what she looked like when I first seen her

It’s amazing what a bath can do.. She’s eating a lot too 🙂

    She’s beyond adorable Buttons!!!
Her floofiness hides that she’s a tiny little girl. Her eye looks so much better than in earlier pic too. She must trust you big time if you were able to give her a trim plus a blow dry. If I were to try anything like that with Dorry (although he does let me brush his teeth), it would be:
Surgeon reattaches KJ’s hand – film at 11. LOL

Wow what a difference. Her ears laid back and dilated pupils in the bottom pic, and she’s clean, relaxed and knows she’s loved in the top one. Her eye looks so much better too. She’s beautiful!

Aww, I just love her. Is she interacting with the others already? That’s great that there’s just a little growling. I’m so happy for her and you and Mr B and your whole cat family. Happy day!

Thanks guys 🙂 lol at surgeons attempt at reattaching KJ’s hand 🙂

In time If we have another girl I want to call her Sunday.. If it’s a boy maybe not James but Jaws 🙂

Yes KZ she is a lot more relaxed not eating a lot this morning but I left food out all night for her I’m assuming she’s eaten a good bit of that. Will get some goats milk this morning to help fatten her . Poor thing is skin and bones..

They seem to be ignoring her ECB but that’s a good thing.. It would be a disaster if they were fixated on her ..

Awwwwwwww, she is such a sweetie Buttons. I hope she doesn’t miss Mr B too much while he is at work during the day.

Was thinking that too MS… But strangely enough he got a call to say work was off today 🙂

Got Noodle and Nutini some raw chicken wings as a treat.. Noodle is growling away while munching on his.. Got some goats milk & yogurt for MS Moneypenny and some raw beef liver too .. She seems to like it .. She’s relaxing on my lap now. I think I’ve found a new nurse kitty. I’m in a bad way this morning.. Sinus infection turned into a chest infect and a migraine to boot 🙁

Awwww Moneypenny is so sweet! …. I’m so glad she’s settling in! …. you must send in pics for her to be the TDK kitten 🙂

…. of course, I’m sure Bob/Buttons (have appealed to God) and arranged for Mr. B to be home today to help MP get acquainted, they have orchestrated this whole scenario from the beginning ….. they knew just what you guys needed and what little Moneypenny needed ….. amazing how these things work out!

    Those mischievous meadow kitty’s 🙂

The only issue were having with her is litter tray issues.. She is using it but I got caught out she was on my lap and was so relaxed she peed in my lap 🙁 and when she does poop she immediately siting into it or will lay on top of her mess. Not behaviour you’d expect to see from a 12 week old. So you can imagine being a long haired girl it’s a slight problem.. Looking at her now she seems slower on the developmental side even Mr B seems to have noticed.. Her play skills are extremely basic for a kitten that’s been outdoors for 12 weeks and she doesn’t purr.. Not at all not even once not even when you can clearly see she’s enjoying chin rubs.. She’s an odd little one

Ms. Moneypenny is looking great! I’m sure her litterbox issues will be okay soon.
It’s so cool that all of us here see the role of the Meadow kitties so clearly. When Bob got there, Buttons said, “you got someone for her yet?”. Because of this understanding, we do not use the term “replacement kitty”.
Shaddo, though close, had not left for the Meadow yet, so Jiggs may have played more of a part in finding Leela, then known as Lacy, the kitten found in the rain and brought to the shelter and sister fostered, bottle fed her and saw to her URI.
I hope you feel better soon. Seems you have found a nurse kitty just in time.

Feel better, Buttons. I know nothing of litter box training, but imagine if she’s had nobody to show her maybe that could explain it. Laying in it must be quite messy though. And I’ve heard of it taking a while for kittens to learn to play if they’ve been feral. I do have experience with the purring thing. It was months before we heard Emily purr! It’s still pretty quiet and not that frequent.

Awww, poor baby with litterbox issues. She will watch the other cats and see what they do, and you will teach her how to be clean and when to go. So sorry you are feeling awful, kitties seem to know what we need before we do sometimes, like a little TLC and nursing back to health. So wonderful to hear that the Meadow kitties are at work and helpful… 🙂

Yes I think your right Kz she’ll watch the other two over the next few weeks..

ECB thanks for the head up on the purring 🙂 I’ve never seen a cat that doesn’t purr .. But she’ll take things at her own pace..

Of course, Ms Moneypenny must be a featured Daily Kit!
Sorry too about litterbox predicament, no advice either, but you know infinitely more about raising kits, you’re like a vet already, just missing the degree! Wondering, if she gets too messy for easy cleaning, is giving her a haircut (or just in that area) an option? Seems a bit drastic, but I’ve heard of this being done with long-haired kitties and their fur grows back quickly. As long as they’re kept warm.

Your very kind KJ 🙂 yes that is true some breeders will clip back the fur around the nether regions 🙂 especially if you have a large litter of long haired kittens and don’t have the time but normally once kittens get to 8 weeks plus they will be able to to clean themselves..

I did have to give her a “trim” but he was so badly matted down there it was impossible to comb even after her bath .

Hey guys, little Fred is fighting for his life right now at the vet. He slept in his cage with me last night. Before I fell asleep he seemed to be doing well but I gave him some karo syrup just in case his blood sugar was low. He had food and water in with him, but apparently he didnt eat or drink anything. He woke me up this morning with a very sad and pained meow. I checked on him and he was not moving, but he was breathing. I quickly gave him some karo syrup and rushed him into the shelter to see the vet. He is dehydrated and was crashing. She rushed him to the animal hospital in town and I havent heard from them since. They will give him IV fluids and try to get some nutrients in him. Please send some prayers and purrs his way. He is a fighter, was trying to manage a purr while we were in the car.
