    Hello, Littermates! I don’t come by often, but thought I’d check in. Lots of changes here and lots of new (to me) faces. For those who don’t remember or know me, I am proudly owned by three polydactyl kits — Digit, Furl and Boots (my avatar). All are doing well, including my husband and I. We became grandparents for the first time four years ago. Our granddaughter was adopted at the age of two and just turned six. I retired from my job at the beginning of this year and still trying to figure out where to go from here. Planning to travel some and will be in Philadelphia August 21 to August 28. TDKers in that area have gotten together in the past. Anyone up for a meetup?

    KW ! So great to see you here posting. You have had some changes in your life haven’t you.
    Good to hear that you still have your beautiful furkits Digit, Furl and Boots.
    There has been many changes here on TDK, a new KM, old friends leaving and new friends being made and as always lots of laughter and people needing help with their furkits.

    No grandchildren as yet KW but one son in law(other daughter).
    Airy has grown into a beautiful young woman if I do say so myself. We still chat about the time you met up in LA.

    I’ve never meet you so hi to you, your precious fur kids and hoomins. As a dedicated cat slave to 3 fur kids, I love to read and post with all TDKers. I’m grateful TDK gang has taken me in from the cold. 😉

    We are in for a roasting the rest of this week. Temperatures of 107 degrees Fahrenheit are expected! Nooooooooooo!!!

    Hi KW!
    Think that I recall your posting on the Main Page featuring kitty of the day. In any case, I’m KJ, owned by the silver grey tabby in my avatar, Dorian Gray Esq., affectionately known as Dorry. Hope to see you in Café! BTW similar weather here as tomorrow we reach 41 degrees Celsius! Prefurr it to Winter, though, where it can get to the same degree with wind chill, but in minus direction!

    Hi back!
    Actually it’s Dorry (no worries, my fingers often run away from me when I type fast hehehe,) and the boy thanks you for your compliment. Your calico kitty is a stunner with gorgeous markings – what are your kitties’ names? As for the weather, let’s just say that I’m thankful that my apt has central air-conditioning – for Dorry’s sake as he’s wearing a purrmanent fur coat (and mine, of course!) 😉

    I blame autocorrect for changing the spelling of Dorry’s name. Had to go back in and edit it!

    My kits are Boots (in my avatar), Furl and Digit. Furl and Digit were my first kits. They are female littermates and nine years old. Boots is also female and about seven years old. She was a rescue, picked up by animal control on the street at about five months old and pregnant. Shes the dominant kitty. She’s the smallest but she bosses the other two around. Furl is a very laid back kitty, often seen staring off into space for long periods of time. (We think she is communing with her mother planet. lol). Digit is a nervous kitty. She still hasn’t gotten over Boots joining our family!

    OK, I go back and edit too (numerous times.) It’s the copywriter/editor in me (or so I maintain.) LOL
    Your trio sounds charming. It’s the smallest ones (kits and peeps) one has to be wary of – as per my motto courtesy Wm. Shakespeare – “And though she be but little, she is fierce.”) 😉

    *pounces* on KW!!! So glad to see you here again!!! …. I’ve missed you, and SO many of our old timers! Glad to see Digit, Furl and Boots are doing well! I’m sorry to say, Queen Cuddles went to the bridge last Nov. She was 19 ….. Abby, who was a baby back in the day is now 10 ….. Hope you will check in more often, hopefully you can meet up with some close to Philly!

    Hi, AV! *pounces on AV with gentle bunny kicks*. I’m so sorry that Cuddles has crossed the bridge. She lived to a grand old age. I’m hoping I can meet up with some of my littermates in the Philly area on this trip. If not, maybe the next trip which will be in December. My father-in-law will be celebrating his 100th birthday on December 20th. Such a sweet man.

    Wow! 100 is an amazing milestone! How awesome! My great Aunt, my oldest relative lived to be 101 …. She was an amazing lady!

    Last time you posted regularly, I was probably posting about my kids being in college … knowing your story over the years, you might be interested to know Son graduated from law school and was sworn in as an attorney by Clarence Thomas (what an honor)… Then went back to Columbia for a second masters (first was in business) in SIPA program … Did his internship in Cambodia, graduated in May, and was awarded a Presidential fellowship …. looking at all branches, but really likes Dept. of Defense …. Exciting … Dau also lives in NY and is pursuing a masters in math …. Hope all is well with you and yours, I catch glimpses of updates over the years from fb, but please update us!

    Congratulations on your son’s graduation from law school. You must be very proud! You’ve got some very bright and talented children. My two are still living in our home town. Daughter is married to a young man who loves and respects her. They adopted a little girl four years ago. She is now six–looking forward to first grade in September. Our son is back in college to become a substance abuse counselor. He is a good man with a kind heart. I retired from the bench December 31, but am obligated to work 35 days each year for five years to maximize my retirement income. I decided to get as much of it done as possible while my position was unfilled, so I didn’t really get to retire until July 13. I’m already liking this not setting an alarm each morning! Hubby is doing well. He waited so patiently for me to retire.

    KW, sounds like things are good! ….. I can’t believe your grandbaby is 6 already!! …. and wasn’t it just yesterday we were having a virtural ‘shower’ for Jen’s Abberfishie!!! ….. she’s 6 or 7 (she could be 8) now too! …… I’ve seen a few pics on fb of your family, they are beautiful! And well done on the ‘finally retired’ ….. my Hubby is also waiting for us to retire, but isn’t so patient …. we’ll just have to see where/when our business will allow that ! LOL ….. we are blessed! …. so good to hear from you!
