This Special Day celebrates the date of the discovery of King Tutankhamen’s Tomb. From a culture and civilization that thrived over 3,000 years ago. One where cats were worshipped as gods (and have never forgotten it!)

Off to a gr8 start as it would appear that my pics of past days have gone AWOL. Will try again after as TinyPic and Photobucket seem to have weirded out. Nope. Not working.

PG looks like same thing has happened to your pics! Oh no!

Anyway I have just fired off a missive to Photobucket which also runs TinyPic. At present no Plan B. 🙁

    MS your pics are terrif!

Morning! Hey it’s Friday! You all are way patient with posting pics–if I can’t bring up pic and click it off to it’s destination, I have lost patience and I’m gone. I have hundreds of pics on photobucket, but have found once I go there, it takes me forever to try and get them to where I want them and I even have a hard time signing in. So frustrating for me!!
Love the bread (or sammie) pyramid MS! T

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and white light on the ortho visit. I am thankful I don’t have to wait years to get this done, once I made my mind up it’s not getting better by itself. I put it off too long (my own fault) and now have to wait for a couple more months.

Well, off to finish laundry and scrounge around the kitchen to make lunch for Mr. KZ and Avery!

Re pics: trying to Plan C is as usual upload sites are down for maintenance or whatever.

IMHO this should still be the case

Yes! So somewhat more complicated but got pics using method as recommended by MS (tks) 🙂

Ideally upload sites will get fixed sooner rather than later.

So was beyond stressed this am. Did not help when leg cramped up on way to gym. Usual go to as arnica/pain med/ice (I keep instant ice bag in gym locker.) Spoke with physio who yet again calmed me down.

So upshot is that rush translation might have been invention of new communications guy as they’ve never gone bilingual in programs before. Sure, it would be nice idea, but I don’t do big jobs for free. He took full blame for my stress and told me to leave it aside. Actually he should have checked before even initially sending me stuff. At least he and I are still good. Now for some minor Hazeling then Knitting Circle.

BTW after a Wed of summer weather it’s srsly cold. *Sigh* But fortunately I have the coats etc for this. 🙂

Hi all – windy but pretty day here in Jersey. I brought Comet, then Leela outside for a few minutes. I held them instead of using the leash because there are just too many ticks outside looking to jump up and hitch a ride.
Glad you are getting the surgery done, KZ. Everyone I know who’s had it done wished they had done it sooner.
Comet seems to be feeling better. The sneezies have calmed down and he is no longer shooting boogers. Everyone is getting more l-lysine with dinner. I figure it can’t hurt; Comet is prone to the sneezies, Leela gets weepy eyes and Mac is FIV+.
Well, I’m off to pay the taxes!

    Hi, everybody.

Haven’t been here for a while, so I need to catch up.

What kind of surgery are you having, KZ?

Need to find some online service where I can post pix so I can share them, if I ever get a camera!

Last night was the next-to-last session of the pastor’s class for prospective members at the church I’m going to be joining. Two more Sundays at my present church, and I’m out of there after 26 years. I’ve been there for almost half my life. Am scheduled to be lector at my final service; no one knew that it would be my final service when that was scheduled. Reading is the one thing I can still do well, so I would like to do it one last time. Will talk to the interim pastor this Sunday to see if he’ll be a backup if, when it comes down to the time, I don’t think I can do it without crying. Have devised a signal to give him if I think I can’t do it. He’s going to give me a farewell and Godspeed blessing at the end of my last service. I’m not slipping out the back door; I’m walking right out the front.

Penny, Cedar, and Sheree all got colds. I thought Penny was sneezing because of allergies or dust. She was pretty much over it by the time Sheree came down with it; then Cedar got it. Sheree and Cedar went to the vet. I was given some powder to mix with a bit of wet food to give to all three of them. The powder is supposed to weaken the virus. They have to get it for 2 weeks; week 1 just ended. I also have to give Sheree and Cedar one pediatric saline nosedrop each day, alternating nostrils. Sheree and Cedar are obviously feeling better. They’re back to chasing each other all over the house and running up and down the kitty tower. I’ve nicknamed them the Tornado Twins.

    A good Friday to everyone.

Hi Leeny, nice to see you!
I crush l-lysine tablets with my handy mortar and pestal and mix it with the cats’ dinner. They are not particularly fond of it, but if they are hungry enough they’ll eat!

Echoing Joan – Hi Leeny. I too give my outdoor crew L-Lysine same way but only 1/2 tablet mixed in group’s food during winter months!

*walks like an Egyptian* into the Café …. hi! everyone! …. good to see you all, welcome back Leeny …. TGIF!!! finishing my work up early today, and looking forward to a relaxing evening! ….. must start a CE on line class this weekend, I’ll probably marathon it to get it over with! at least it’s my last one for 2 more years …. Abby and Caddy have their routine now …. Abby comes downstairs early in the am (like 4 or 5) and she and Caddy stare nose to nose through the French doors – like her and Sal used to do. Then when Mr. AV or I get up and go downstairs to feed them, they both have a lot to say … I can hear Caddy talking through the door …. it’s cute! Sometimes in the evenings she will also come up and sit on the porch and Abby will go lay be the door to hang out with her … they are cute!

In and out – but on way out of Café ’til Caturday nite.
Photobucket/TinyPic (same site actually) are down for maintenance. You’d think with all their techies … whatever.

Glad that I got that job that would have been an all-nighter sorted out as in it’s not being done. Phew! Another project in the works, but adequate time for it.

It’s gotten very cold and windy out, good to be in. Already set my watches back an hour for DST as I do have many watches. LOL

OK, wishing all a good Caturday! Over and out!

LOL at KJ, setting all watches back an hour….it’s good to have lots of watches, I totally agree. Shoes and boots too–accessorize!!!! 😆

Leeny–good to see you! My surgery is a hip replacement. I injured it a few years back and it has been steadily getting worse. Now it’s my only option to be pain free and I’m going for it!

Mr KZ had to go get a new phone. He left it in his pants in the side pocket and I washed it for him this morning. 🙄 He goes through phones like dirty underwear! I am not a pocket checker–if it’s in the hamper, I figure it’s ready to be washed. Ooops!

Love the way Caddy and Abby get along. It’s great for Abby to have a friend even if it is on the other side of the door. That’s how they recommend introducing cats anyway!

JJ, hate that Comet is blowing boogers. Maxwell does this on a regular basis. Sometimes it is worse than others. I have had him on every med the vet can think of, and it never totally clears up. I feel so bad for him at times. And he is my cat that does not like wet food. He has wasted more wet food and lysine than I care to think about!

Waiting on Mr. KZ to get back from the phone store, he’s bringing dinner home tonight, so catch you later!

LOL @ KZ! I’ve washed two cell phones …. sadly, one of my own *hangs head in shame* …. the other was Son’s LOL

Well, after hiking the Aztec ruins, my men are headed to the Mayan ruins …. what a great birthday trip Mr. AV is having with Son (yes, he’s welcome) ….

Don’t know what’s up with Abby, after yakking on me in bed yesterday morning, she has now decided that she will yak in places that are hidden from sight, so it will be a few days before I find it …. i.e. behind the couch, under a dresser …. seriously it’s a game with her LOL …. possible vet trip in her near future if this doesn’t stop!

I think I am in major trouble! …. I filled the fishie pond up with some fresh (yes filtered) water today, cause it’s been so dry here, and I have already counted 5 of my 9 remaining fish floating belly up 🙁 … I think I may have killed them all! who knew too clean water was as toxic as too chemical water …. my heart is broken! …. Scotty will be here tomorrow to remove all the bodies, and I’m just hoping the last two and big Hazel survived …. don’t know how I’m gonna tell Son …. I feel so bad 😥

    Good morning all.
    Yay here.
Mr MS and I have been busy in the garden and we kept on finding skinks, cute wee lizard type creature. We rehoused them in another area of the garden. They were quite happy to sit on our shoulders as we moved them to the new area. Rather sweet. 🙂 🙂 🙂
It is Guy Fawkes Day so there will be fireworks going off everywhere this evening. Shadz is not a fan but is happy if she can curl up under Airy’s bed with the curtains closed until all the noise stops.
KJ, good to see you found a plan that enabled you to get your pictures up again. Ouch, leg cramp and the translation snafu. I think Winter may be closer than you want.
JJ, windy here too but it should calm down as evening comes on so it will be safer for fireworks. Yikes, I am so glad we don’t have ticks, well we do but most people/pet would never see one during their lifetime. Dang taxes, only a Trump can seem to avoid them. 😮 😆
Hi Leeny, good to see you again. I use Lysine capsules and just pull them apart and discard the capsule. It is wonderful for sneezes and runny eyes and noses. I put it in Shadz kitten milk, it has become her “comfort food”. She loves it.
Waving to JK, love the pics.
AV, Abby and Caddy sound so cute, they have a good friendship developing there.
    KZ, oops
I gave up checking pockets when Mr MS gave up leaving money in the pockets. The rule is if it’s in the pockets at washing time then it’s mine.
Have more garden work to do before I can plant out my zucchini, buttercup pumpkin and cucumber. I had better get too it.
Oh AV, nothing worse than finding hidden yakkage a day or two later. oh no, belly up fish is not good. After replacing all the water in the goldfish tank years ago I found out that you should leave some of the old water in. I think it my have been a third. Someone should be able to tell you.

😆 MS, that’s what I said to Mr. KZ this morning. He came back inside after leaving this morning, looking for his cell phone. He went to the hamper, and I told him his clothes were in the washer! After instructing him on how to open new fangled washer (the lid locks during washing) and then rebalancing the load, he pulled his phone out and I told him it should be nice and clean…. 😛

Love hearing what you are planting in the garden. I miss my fresh veggies even though I picked the last of my peppers a week or so ago, and it was the last of October!

AV! I’m so sorry about your fish!! Could it be that the filter in the hose is malfunctioning or needs replacing? I know exactly that sickening feeling of seeing your fish floating… 😥 I remember walking out the kitchen door one morning, to see a heron flying away and no fish in my pond. I literally felt like I might be sick. How on earth those fish knew to hide in a tile that I placed in my pond for just a predator such as the heron is beyond me. I didn’t see a fish for 2 days, but gradually they all came out of hiding. I had one fish with poke holes in it’s back, but miraculously it healed and survived. I hope handy Scotty can figure out the problem.
