Hi all – Another frigid day here in Jersey. Maybe if we aim our Northern and Southern Hem fans at each other, temps will level out. Yesterday it was so cold the gauges on my truck didn’t work. I have remote start though, which has come in mighty handy over the last few days. They’re saying there’s no relief in sight.
Today is the sad anniversary of my dad’s passing. I like to think of him walking with a very special someone who also loves the animals, and if there’s a way to get to the Meadow, he, and He, visits there.
I’ve never had pepper pot soup, at least I don’t think so. Purrhaps I’ll try Lagatta’s recipe. Tonight we are having home made creamy tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.
Miss Berta spent the night in the house again last night. She gets restless around 5:30 or so. Dewey has another wound on him, and though it’s large and raw, it doesn’t look like an abscess. I want him to stay in so as not to expose it to the elements, and he isn’t arguing!
I can feel the excitement rising in the café in anticipation of the new year. Meadow kitties will put on a magic show, so if you listen closely over the next few days, you might hear a chorus of purrs, even though you don’t see any cats. Don’t worry, they see you!
