There’s lots of poetry out there. Some good, some not so good. Some composed by kits.

Good morning – quite a foggy morning here in Jersey, but it’s burning off and blue sky is coming.
Heard from a neighbor the other day asking about a local cat. Turns out they are feeding Mama Cat, who the kids have named Hunter. He asked if they could keep feeding her as the kids like her. Needless to say, I said of course. Ever since Louie died I’ve been having trouble feeding five cats, as weird as that sounds. The big cans seem like too much, the smaller ones not quite enough. So for the past few days I’ve been splitting a 5.5 oz can four ways, followed by the standard crunchies and fresh water. Mama Cat/Hunter is coming around in the evening, and since I’ve got “sucker” stamped on my forehead, I wind up feeding her. Neighbor wants to build her a house, so she may eventually see her full time place being there.
    In a state of transition!

    Happy TGIF!!

KJ, PG, the pics and poems today are just awesome….sandpapers kisses ARE the best, and yes, the best way to judge a person’s character is how they treat cats. Which has surprised me a lot about some people I’ve come to know… 😐

JJ, love the story about Mama Cat..well, it sounds like she will be well cared for. Plus you have Aslan also to think about. It’s funny how cats have their goings and comings isn’t it? I split one of those cans in the morning with my 4…of course they would love a whole can but it’s just too much I feel for one cat to eat! 😛

JJ, neat that Mama Cat has made herself welcome with other n’bours – it is a lot that you do!

I’m no poet (and don’t I know it!) but in latest project there were several poems and haikus in French. I assumed that we would leave them in the original, but colleague asked me to do up an English version in what is termed “free translation” so that anglophones could get a sense of the poems. Surprisingly they turned out OK.

Very Spring-like outdoors – but wait – while we are at 20C today by Sunday temps are supposed to drop to 9C! I guess that we were getting too complacent.

Feel like catnapping and not much like going to Knitting Circle, worked out hard this am. Purrhaps I’ll go just for an hour or so as missed it last wk.
