Good morning – I love these pictures! When I first got Baby Taz, her ears were most of her – she had the bat look for sure!
Bats are slowly making a comeback around here. Several years back, over 90% of the brown bat population was wiped out by a fungus. Saw a few last summer, hope to see even more this year.

o Some species of bats can live up to 40 years.
o Can see in the dark and use their extreme sense of hearing.
o Are the only mammal naturally capable of true and sustained flight.
o The United States is home to an estimated 48 species of bats.
o About 70 % of bats are insectivores.
o One of the largest bats is the giant golden-crowned flying fox bat weighing up to 4 lbs with a wingspan of up to 5 ft. 7 in.
o Almost 40% of American bat species are in severe decline with some already listed as endangered or threatened. They are working on a cure for
the White Nose Syndrome and hopefully they will find one before we lose any more species.
o Three U.S. states have an official state bat. The Mexican free-tailed bat represent Texas and Oklahoma and the Virginia big-eared bat
represents Virginia.

Well, it started yesterday – snow, sleet, rain and all over again. This is supposed to last through tomorrow and start up again Monday. We do need the moisture. Miss Gaea is in her usual pissy pants mood because the weather has disrupted her outdoors exploration. LilBit Guy and Miss Moppet are having a blast rip snorting around! I’m sure once I settle down I will have a lapful of kittahs. My new recliner is not as wide as my old one so they have vie for the best place.

LOL Barf pic – yup, must be the season – normally no yak from Lucky but offered me some this AM too – think it’s because warming up – shedding fun…need to brush him soon! Crock, well he usually eats kibble too fast as weekly upchuck – keep on saying goning to get a slow noms bowl – need
to finally do that too! Have to do the yearly vet thing soon too as shots for the band/trio – LOL!

OK – it’s beautiful day around here but purrfect in tdk land so will head out to patio for a few w/fave kit…hey Tux, let’s hit the lounge chair…
maybe café kits have created a TGIF cake treat…

The sun is out – not bad for what was supposed to be a rainy day!
Leela brought a toy mouse to me this morning. I keep asking, “Where’s Larry?”, and she looks at me as if to say, “I don’t know, mommy.” 🙁
He’s around somewhere, not even a chance he could have gotten in the wastebasket because there is only one upstairs and it’s in the cabinet under the bathroom sink (Comet-proofed).
