Donald first appeared in “The Wise Hen” on June 9, 1934. But if some kits had their way looks like there wouldn’t be many Duck Dynasties left!

I feel so lucky that most mornings I can hear a family of ducks declaring their noisy delight as they take their morning dip. Occasionally a couple of geese join in the chorus. The sounds of happy ducks makes me smile and starts my day of wonderfully.

Good morning! I have a feeling that orangie in the duck costume got his revenge somehow. Happy ducks sound like a really fun way to start the day, MS.

Well, sometimes it is best to hire a professional. Their chemicals and equipment were able to remove 10-15 years worth of crud on the tile and grout in the kitchen. (The tile isn’t original like the counters and cabinets were, but it’s older). It’s probably 90% cleaner….I’m happy with it. I would have guessed the grout was gray, but it’s tan. Now the kitchen guys can try to match it for the one tile they replaced.

Today we’re having the locks rekeyed…really should have done that as soon as we moved in. With this house having been a rental property for about a decade, who knows how many people have keys.

Great news on the kitchen floor ECB, you saved some money on this one but doing it right the first time. Good idea on the locks too, so many creepy people not afraid to do bad stuff these days. Isn’t it fun to make this place ‘yours’ and do what you really want to do?!

Peso is doing so well, and learning fast how to eat, drink and play. He ‘found’ the upstairs yesterday afternoon, a whole new world to explore!!

Happy TGIF everyone! …. good news on the group, EC! When we re-did our kitchen, I went with a black and white tiled floor – very typical period for these 109 year old homes in this historic section. Best decision I ever made was to go with black grout! …. you don’t even see the grout, and dirt stains will never show! Tile is so easy to clean, and lucky for Abby ‘yak-proof’ ! LOL

Got my hair cut this morning, have a light work day of inputting, then Mr. AV and I are going to our fav dine in theatre to see Wonder Woman ….. Jason showed up not JUI today … he was very apologetic and thanked us for giving him another chance …. poor kid, like a lost puppy …. hope everyone has a great Friday!!

Poor mama duck is certainly not having much luck teaching her kittens to swim!
Great progress in the kitchen, ECB! Now they can match to the “real” grout color.
I’m so happy to hear of Peso’s progress! Now that he’s discovered upstairs, there’s no stopping him!
The reviews of WW have been good, hope you and Mr. AV enjoy the movie.
I upped my game and walked 5 miles up and down and around the mountain today. It’s a beautiful day here in Jersey. Hubby is going to grill tonight, then maybe we’ll sit outside and watch the full “strawberry” moon rise.

Oh I forgot to say, 9 years ago today Shaddo left for the adventures and shenanigans of The Rainbow Bridge. He was 17 years old and it was the hottest day of the year. Fitting, as Jiggs left on the coldest day of the year just 5 months earlier.
I force fed him for the last week so his tummy wouldn’t rumble, and when I saw the transdermal meds for his thyroid weren’t being absorbed in his ears, I knew he was ready. Jiggs made sure he stayed with me a little longer than he could so that he could wrap up a few things, including finding a suitable kitten to take care of us. He never met Baby Leela, but he knew of her, and together with Jiggs, deemed her acceptable.
Shaddo and I had one last weekend together, and spent his last hours on the cool grass in the shade of a tree he loved.
Shaddo, your starfish ornament hangs at the bottom of the Christmas tree every year, in case you ever want to stop by and give it a spin!

Aww, Joan. It’s always touching to hear about Shaddo and Jiggs.

Look here….first time all three have used their window seat together.

Yay! Leo has the best seat, most sunlight, and kicked Eko out to get it. But at least it didn’t turn into a big fight….progress. I did start using Jackson Galaxy’s “bully solution” drops in Leo’s food a few days ago. We’ll see if it helps…might take time. I hate labeling anyone a bully, but some of his behavior could fit in that category, I suppose.
