Raspberries … one of Summer’s gems. Time to make and enjoy some favourite dessert treats. Kitties are picking berries in the TDK garden. And Chef Kitty is busy baking up every possible pie. Savour a slice …. mmmm!

Good morning KJ – mmm, raspberry pie!
At the animal shelter benefit last night sister, brother and I couldn’t decide which crisp to get – peach, blueberry or apple, so we got one of each and passed them around! Got to talking about other crisps, including raspberry.

So much easier not having to make a choice and just ordering everything! Nice strategy as shopping too, but not always possible, hard on budget, unless one is in the Dollar Store LOL! GR8 way of doing a fund-raiser as not as work intensive for shelter, ie not having to organize event, book room, eats etc. (been there, done that). They just found a restaurant willing to help out animals, which it gladdens me to see exists. 🙂

Morning Joan, KJ, AV! I’ll have a slice of something raspberry! Beautiful day here in the Midwest, and the beginning of our county fair. Took in the granddaughters dairy feeders last night so they will be busy caring for and showing them. We have the biggest livestock fair in our state, with thousands of hogs, dairy, dairy feeders, steers, chickens, rabbits and cavies, and horses in their respective barns. Such a good way for kids to learn to care for and learn about their projects.
Need to get Hazel moving today, but she sure is a lazy individual. Doesn’t like housework much, I wonder how she ever got into this line of work…

good morning Joan and KJ! …. another hot and steamy today! ….. there is a HUGE com-a-con convention here this weekend in downtown Tampa, so traffic is already building, and people walking around bayshore don’t look normal! LOL

…… also ‘back to school’ tax free weekend, so I def won’t be heading out for any shopping or malls! ….. looks to be a good weekend to putz around the house and get some ‘detailed’ Hazeling done, that I’ve been putting off ….. Mr. AV will escape to the golf course, so I’ll have some ‘me’ time …. Abby and Cuddles will love that! …. Meowmy won’t be obsessed with the ‘evil’ silver box that sits on her desk and she’s always tapping on LOL

That raspberry kit is certainly something JK!
As is the dessert. Must admit that I’m not much of a pie fan, but raspberry crumble would be nice. That is when the staff kits finish their gathering expedition and Chef Kitty puts a crumble together. I can wait – a bit LOL.

And while it’s not quite in pie mode – this kit insists on presenting version of raspberry!

Tks for bringing me around from my ladylike cuteness swoon Buttons! As I have some “Hazeling” to do and do not have any hopes of Hazel showing up (and even if she did …) How is Noodle doing? And is Miss Nutini still getting more into cuddling mode?

Hey KJ .. Yup Noodle is doing well I did need to get more antibiotics for him though as a little section of his incision pulled apart and is weeping a little.. It’s not bothering him at all so finger crossed it fixes itself and he doesn’t need more stitches on Tuesday

Nutini was extra cuddly today too 🙂 how’s Dorry 🙂 ?

I hope that Noodle will need no further interventions of the surgical kind. As for Dorry, well, our MS was right! Seems that even with my under bed drawer arrangement being re-arranged, Dorry somehow still managed to reclaim his lair. At least I know where he is and that he has not enrolled in a catness protection program LOL. Ah he has now emerged for some noms! Need some face time with my boy!

Afternoon all! *waves* to JK and Buttons … love the pics and the update on Noodle! Glad he’s doing so well

….. well of course Hazel didn’t show here (maybe she’s on her way to Canada) ….. so I had to do everything, and I’m worn slap out! ….. almost want to take a nap before I start computer input, but alas it’s not possible…..

…. about the only thing rasberry I like is rasberry tea …. but not sweet …. gives the tea a good flavor.

Umm think Hazel might have gone AWOL as per usual AV, she certainly did not show up in Canada, at least not in my place, so I had to do it myself. And even if she had shown up, I would have had to deal with her negative attitude and still do it myself. Although my “real” Hazel is coming for her bi-weekly visit (for the heavy stuff) and she is awesome and we connect to where I look forward to her being here, very thankful for her.

Lol I wish I had a Hazel!! Alas I don’t 🙂 it’s very unusual for Irish to hire a cleaning lady.. Unless he’s a child minder and does a bit of cleaning too 🙂

I don’t think Dorry is ready to give up his lair yet KJ …

Nutini has been an amazing cuddle bug today.. Seems like after yesterday’s lap time every time we make eye contact she comes straight over for licks and head runs.. She jumped on my lap at least 4 times today!! Stay one time for about 15 mins and let me wrap my arm around her and got lots of rough touge kisses! And head rubs.. I have pics I’ll have to post later when wifi is on..

Thinking on it now she started doing all this in the last two days which coincided with Noodle discovering the top she’ll of the cat tree where Nutini could always be sure of a Noodle free zone and now it’s Noodle’s fav place to sleep.. His presence they must have driven her down to me 🙂

Well I think that I’ll have to ask Tux to please send me a case of that “Troll Spray” through the woprmhole. Also need to restock on “Idiot Repellant” as featured a few weeks ago. Seem to have used a full case in literally no time. 😉
Buttons, now that Miss Nutini is into cuddling, please give her a cuddle from her Auntie KJ! 🙂

Oh I deffinetly will KJ.. She may never cuddle Mr B ( she’s extremely fearful of Mr B 🙁 ) but she deffinetly knows now she can get that cuddling she used to get from Buttons from me now 🙂

Forgot to say I am crazy about raspberry sorbet 🙂

Must head to work tomorrow and have been a nervous wreck all week .. There’s a famous old horse fair in town it last the ought the August weekend and it’s mostly attended by Travellers .. Around this time a lot of houses are broken into and dogs stolen too so now I’m working was so worried about leaving the mobile alone.. But Mr B is of work tomorrow 🙂 and my dad will dog sit on Tuesday while I’m at work again 🙂

If I lived in a house I wouldn’t worry so much I’d just invest in a good alarm system 🙂

Hi everyone! I’ve been around but not long enough to post. Looks like a storm is coming. Looked like it was going to stay to my south, but the wind has picked up and changed direction.
On the receiving end of an attack from Comet today. I was sitting in my rocking chair when he launched himself through the back spindles, and into my back. I don’t know what, but something must have caught his eye, because we all know this is Mr. Happy Go Lucky we’re talking about. After screaming and standing up and detaching myself from him I think he realized he surprised us both. He looked at me like “Oh noes, I’m sorry mama!”
Well now it’s quite dark out. Going to go back to read threads – including this one.
Oh! Two teenage tabby cats just brought me a bowl of vanilla ice cream with raspberry topping, yum!

Those pics!!! The 2nd one epitomized Meowmy/kitty love!!! Take care this wknd and good that Mr. B. is standing guard. Can’t imagine how anyone, as Miss Nutini, could be afraid of Mr. B. – well purrhaps when he has that “chicken mask” on LOL!
Joan, batten down the hatches and stay safe as storm approaches. Is Mac willing to shelter with you?
Well new shoes arrived so I literally jumped out of chair and raced to postal outlet to pick up. Of course, ’cause I’m tight for time on Fridays, there was a long line, including one guy mailing like 60 parcels, each needing it’s own stamp which clerk was affixing, 2nd clerk was trainee and about as useful as “Hazel”, guy after him wasted everyone’s time debating out loud with himself as to which postal service to use as in how much he wanted to shell out. Line up going way long and peeps getting definitely “unfluffy”. I finally convinced trainee to find my package, Dorry could have done it equally well, or even better. But worth it ’cause really scored on Naot shoes now in their furrever home in shoe cupboard.
JK, I’ll wish you a great wknd. And wish all a great Caturday if I don’t make my way back here after catching up on chores, etc.
