Thanks for all the wonderful commentary! I’m working on getting an appointment for all of them to get spayed or neutered, and their rabies and initial 5-in-1 shot. I’m trying to get a spot earlier than January 6th, as so many people want to adopt kittens when they’re tiny. (I won’t adopt them out before 12 weeks of age, when they’re better able to run & hide in homes with dogs and/or small children.) Early to mid December would be PERFECT, but due to the holiday season, I’ll completely understand if clinics would be difficult to hold at that time.
I have someone coming by on Friday night to see the kittens. She lost her 19 year old cat last year, and finally feels she’s ready to share her life with a kitty again. I’m going to see how she feels about 2 kitties, rather than just one. 🙂
Pretty Girl does indeed have beautiful markings. She’s the most unusually marked cat I’ve come across in a long, long time; lynxpoint siamese marking with white patching and blue eyes. Wow! I’m hopeful that she’ll find a good home, if for no other reason than her gorgeous good looks, though she has a perfect temperament to match.
Susie, it’s funny you should say that about Sweet Pea; the other name I was considering was Precious! (Can’t get Gollum’s voice out of my head when I hear it, though.) She has a beautiful gaze, very steady and trusting.
AnnF, you should see how many BAD photos I took! Getting good auto-focus on kittens running around is tougher than it looks. And a flash that makes them close their eyes doesn’t make for good photos, either. Sigh.
Aristabobbi, Zoot’s not hissing yet… but he’s gonna be a heck of a handful, that’s for sure! He turns into the sweetest little boy, though, right after he’s shoved a littermate off his preferred teat. And after he’s full, he falls asleep in one’s hands. His coat is really something else; very thick and plush.
Owlwatcher, we obviously need to increase your daily dose of cuteness, to help you build up a tolerance for it. 😉 Hope your tooth is doing better these days.
Again, thank you all for the comments! I’m very hopeful they’ll all find good homes. I’ve been handling them and picking them up since day 1, so I’m hoping their friendliness will only add to their charm. I come in the door now, and they come squeaking and running out of their covered cat bed to see me. If that isn’t a surefire mood booster, I don’t know what is!
