Sweet Pea finally reached a pound. But what I’m concerned about (as always) is her poo. I really don’t want to make the mistake of feeding her the wrong food again but I think I am? She has 4tbsp goats milk for breakfast, not from the bottle (she refuses to take it) but from a bowl. For lunch she has Friskies and for dinner she has Purina Kitten Chow with water. Her poo was normal, solid and brown, for about a week. But now it’s a limeish green and a little toothpastey. I was wondering if it’s just normal for it to fluctuate in color and consistency until she’s used to solid foods, or if I’m just overdoing it with the solid food, or too much variety? She seems to like it all, and she’s SUPER playful and curious. Totally fine minus the poo questions. Also, she’s officially potty trained. Are kittens usually this easy to wean and litter train? I was expecting it to be a bit more difficult, but she’s been catching on very quickly.

Yes, they ARE that easy to train, at least most of them. It’s natural for them to want to bury their poo, because in the wild they do it so the scent is buried for their own protection. I don’t know about the green poo, if she hasn’t seen a vet then I would take her or call them and ask these questions. It could be time for her first shots and worming as I don’t remember how old she is. Toothpaste consistency is good actually. They really don’t need a variety of food, just some wet food, available water at all times, and since she’s drinking goat’s milk she probably won’t want that much water. My last kitten drank goat’s milk for months after weaning, he loved it so much!
