    Morning my friends ๐Ÿ™‚

I am a tired one this morning and about to take some sleep aid to help me sleep. I hope that everyone has quite a lovely day ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh and a easy substitute for beignets (N.O. pastry and yes I cannot spell this morning, cross-eyed here) is nice slice of toast with jelly or jam on it with a touch of white powdered sugar over the topping ๐Ÿ™‚ Not heavy and hits the little bit of sweet tooth at times.

    Nice reunion story ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi JK, Jroc & Deb! Sunny but chilly in Jersey. Good story Deb – yep, think her hubby had something to do with it.

Mmm…yummy childhood memories with a treat as a drumstick on a warm Summer’s eve! (Popsicles were almost a daily treat while drummies were for special occasions or weekends!)

Hi all, just checking in briefly before I go back & crash in the bedroom; this cold is kicking my butt; sore throat, hacking cough, huge sneezing fits, murderous headache, the works.

Just got a job posting that Yale is looking for someone to archive Henry Kissinger’s papers; it would certainly be a fascinating project.

Aww…didn’t realize you were so under the weather Kilroy. Hope you can conquer your cold w/some rest & meds! (Don’t always get to read back thread until lunch time which is starting now!) Okey, out to the patio w/Tux for a few purrs & zzz’s along w/some Vit D as virtual Sunshine!

I don’t know how George would do with an Ipad; when I turn my phone on and it makes its swooshing, jangling “starting up” noises, he runs away!

On a totally different note, white light requested for my mom and her one remaining sister, please? There were originally 4 girls and one boy; one of her sisters died yesterday and they are down to 2 (the oldest and the youngest, my mom). My aunt Dottie was a lovely, caring woman and I’m going to miss her.

To add an extra layer of difficulty to the situation (which my sister is good at), the phone number we have for my sister no longer works and we have no idea if they’ve moved, gotten rid of their landlines or what. If I were at work I could use our super-duper databases to find her (I know, we’re not supposed to do that, but I *could*). I guess my cousin who’s the executrix will have to figure things out, assuming there’s anything left to my sister.

    Families are really screwy sometimes.

Kilroy, agreed that families can be goofy sometimes.

I cannot judge Craig because I have not walked in his shoes, I do hope that all the cats/kittens are being cared for by caring souls. May Craig and anyone else receive the assistance and whatever else that they need especially now. There were some small sighs knowing that all the hand-built cat houses were destroyed in the raid and I am sure much more.
