Last night, I found a kitten at a drain nearby my house. Since I never had a pet before, I didn’t know a single damn thing to deal with it, so I just bathe her (and that was when I know it was a female), and put her in some fluffy blanket. But the thing that bothers me right now is how the hell I can feed this kitten. I tried some full cream milk but it didn’t work. I’m not trying to give some hard food because she is still an infant, maybe can’t chew anything yet. And now she’s dying. Usually, I don’t give a damn about anything around me, but seeing this kitten get her life set on the hardest difficulty right in the tutorial like in the Dark Soul, I can’t help except to feel pity on her. So any catspert here can give me enlighment? Need it ASAP, before I go to campus. Btw, sorry for my bad English, I’m just a third world country person. đŸ˜„

ok we don’t know what age she is? I her eyes are open she’s probably over 2 weeks old.. if she weighs more than 500grams she’s about 5 weeks old and you can give her wet kitten food.. if you have a syringe (without needle) gently squirt some in the side of her mouth.. if you can get goats milk from a local store get that ASAP.. cows milk is not good for cats.. but before you do any of that get some honey and rub some in her mouth that may help as her sugar levels have probably dropped.. ring your nearest vet and try and get an appointment ASAP.. when you do wash a cat you need to make sure they are 100% dry after bathing so always use a low setting on a blow dryer but very carfullyand no direct heat to one area for more than a second or two keep moving the hair dryer around to prevent the kitten getting burnt

    Hi Boitulus,

    Please don’t panic.
Welcome to TDKland. We’re the furriest forum around. Here’s a couple of other points:

If you haven’t already, make a nest for her. Kittens cannot regulate their body temperature so she must be kept warm. You can use a hot water bottle or I think the best way is to place a heating pad, on LOW, covered by a towel and a soft blanket. Be sure to provide a “cool” spot for the kittens to crawl if she get too warm.

As Buttons said, here in TDKland, we recommend Goats’ milk for kittens. Cats are lactose intolerant and can’t digest cows milk. Goats’ milk is full of nutrients, probiotics and gentler on their tummies. This can also regulate their poop. You can find it in the dairy section or the concentrate in the baking aisle. Mix the concentrate 1:1 with water or pedilyte. If you buy it in town, you will probably need to pasturize it.

Put milk in a double boiler or pan and heat to 165 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 seconds. Cool the milk as quickly as possible, but make sure not to put the hot jars in cold water or they will break. Store the milk in the refrigerator.

If, at any time, she seem lethargic put a dab of Karo syrup or honey in their mouth. Sometimes this is all she’s need to give her the added energy boost to get her eating. Please don’t give them sweet stuff all the time just if they need an energy boost.
