Hi guys! I’m desperate here. Our vet is closed. I’m currently fostering a baby kitten who is 4 weeks now. She had diarrhea for about 5 days and I think from the diarrhea constantly leaking out, it burned her legs and a little from her tail that’s connected to her butt. Anywhere her skin creases there’s an open wound. She’s had it for a few days now and it now smells. I did research and they said Vaseline or neosporin will work. So I’ve been doing just that and nothing helps. It smells like an infection. I also keep her extremely clean and bathe her a dry her to make sure she isn’t wet at all. Are there any suggestions to help her? Does she probably need antibiotics?

sorry to here that your kitten has a chemical burn. 🙁 You said your vet is closed. Is there a vet nearby that you can your kitten to? Sounds like the best thing for your kitten is to see a vet. Probably does need antibiotics but a vet can provide you the right kind. Best of Luck.

Yes Nataly she does but you need to see a vet because of her age. Here’s a link to find a emergency vet. in your area. Call first and explain her symptoms and ask what, if anything, you can do at home.

Good Luck and hopefully we’ll see your girl as our TDK.

pussigatato, I think what did by providing that link is great. That should help her kitten. Can’t wait for updates.
