Just stole this from a friend’s facebook post and had to share!

    Crockpot Candy

1 16 oz. jar dry roasted, unsalted peanuts

1 16 oz. jar dry roasted, salted peanuts

    1 12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 bar (4 ozs.) sweetened german chocolate, broken into pieces

3 lbs. (two 24 oz. pkgs.) white almond bark, broken into pieces

Put ingredients into a 4 or 5-quart crockpot in EXACT order as listed. Cover and cook on LOWEST setting 3 hours. DO NOT remove lid! Turn off and allow to cool slightly. Mixture will not be melted but will be soft. Mix thoroughly and drop by teaspoons onto wax paper. Let cool thoroughly. Makes approximately 150 pieces.

I thopught this would be good for anyone who is watching their budget and wanted to make home made Christmas gifts for family and friends. Since it makes 150 pieces you could do 10 pieces per little bag for 15 friends or co-workers. Or it would be great to take to a holiday pot luck. I would bet you could change out the ingredients to make it a little different, like adding almonds instead of the unsalted peanuts, or butterscotch chips instead of the white chocolate.

That is so customizable as to be obscene.

    Different nuts

    mixed nuts

diced dried fruits or raisens added

butterscotch mixed or substituted for some chocolate or the almond bark.

    My mind is racing!

Cranberries for holiday color – though I wonder how they would do in the crockpot
