If you could find it in your hearts…Our Cowboy has taken ill quite suddenly. Along with this lousy storm we’re having here in California,he’s having one of his own inside him. He’s still with the vet getting blood tests. And he was so dehydrated again that they couldn’t even take a urine sample. Alot is pointing to his kidneys. They are extremely small. I’m still hurting over losing my angel Julie last August. I can’t bear to take another loss so soon. Maybe God will hear your Prayers. He seems to be ignoring mine. 🙁

Susie, hang in there. If it’s at all possible for Cowboy to make it through this, he will. He’s getting the care he needs right now, and with luck, he’ll pull through.

I’m glad you got him to the vet! I’m surprised his scruff test and gum color are as good as they are, if he’s as dehydrated as you said. But kidney problems can be sticky wickets; unfortunately, if his kidneys are undersized, that condition alone will eventually create problems.

I’m glad his temperature wasn’t as low as Wednesday! He’s trying to fight it, but some more targeted diagnostics in terms of bloodwork are needed to figure out exactly what’s going wrong. Again, with some luck, your vet will be able to determine better what’s wrong, so that treatment for his problem/s can be tailored and applied with appropriate vigor.

Hang in there… my thoughts and prayers are with you & Cowboy.

I just don’t understand why God has been taking so many of our fur friends here on TDK. It seems so heartless & cruel. They do nothing but love us unconditionally & then they’re stripped from our lives.

Susie, I’m so sorry, I hope they can treat Cowboy – {{{hugs}}} to you and prayers and ear tickles to Cowboy. Please don’t let this rock your faith in God, I personally don’t believe he “takes” anyone, animal or human, but will look after them if it is their time xx
