    Hi everyone. My 6 month old kitten hasn’t gone to the bathroom in a few days and I’m starting to worry. He is still eating (though it’s less than he usually does) and drinking, he is also still peeing. Aside from being lethargic, he is still his usual cuddly self and he isn’t in any distress. I just mixed in a little miralax with his food like my vet told me to. Any suggestions as to what I should do if this doesn’t work? And when should I expect results from the miralax?

    I don’t know how fast Miralax works on cats, you might want to call your vet on that. Another thing, if he stops eating and drinking I’m wondering if maybe he ate something he shouldn’t have (hair ties, string, rubber band, you get the idea..) and has a blockage. Maybe an x-ray will tell you, because a 6 month old kitten not pooping for a few days is troubling.

    If this doesn’t work I’ll take him to the vet again. But when I saw them last, they assured me there wasn’t a blockage but didn’t tell me anything other than to just give him miralax. Hopefully this does work, though. I hate to see my lil man so uncomfortable.
