OMG, I just had the commute from hell today. I woke up late because I thought I would pick up some commuters to get in the car pool lane. I must have come at the wrong time because there was only one person waiting and that wasn’t enough (has to have 3 people in the car). Then I get to ramp leading to the San Francisco Bay Bridge Toll Plaza. There are three lanes and the far right leads to the FastTrak lane (you have a little box that you velcro to your windshield that communicates with the transponders in the toll booth. You pay for it via credit card and it keeps about $40.00 at a time for you to use – toll cost $4.00 each time). Well, the traffic was backed up and the fasttrak lane that I was in wasn’t moving because all the people who were in the left lane were line jumping down the road. It took 25 minutes to get to the toll plaza because of all these idiots. I finally get through and then it slow going over the bridge. Now going south on Hwy 101 and where it merges with Hwy 280, everyone slows down. As I am going up the incline we all stop suddenly and the guy behind me gets rear ended. I don’t see him flagging me to come with him so I continue literally crawling down Hwy 101 to my exit to the temp job I currently work at. I left home at 7:00 and just got to work at 8:20 am. Normal commute is about 40-45 minutes. Growwwwwwwllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Need ABC and Sylvester stat.
I was actually thinking of calling in sick because I just didn’t feel like it was really necessary for me to go into work at a job where I do very little. I will be calling in sick next Monday as I have an interview at Adobe for another temp assignment that would be for five months. That would work out great.
Update on jobs – didn’t get the job with Nintendo or Adobe perm job or the temp Executive Assistant job. Still waiting to hear on the temp job for Seagate and am now waiting to setup an in person interview at Apple (had a phone interview on Monday that went well and was told the recruiter’s assistant would contact me to set it up. Hope they call today to set up the interview at Apple.)
Going down to get a nice big mocha and some real eggs and crispy bacon. I deserve it after my crummy commute!
