I adore meat loaf. Mr. WWM – not so much. But he will eat it to humor me. And it makes great sandwiches if there are leftovers!

One quick question; does Epicurious include the nutritional information for its recipes; I’m not seeing it anywhere.

And yes, these all look yum.

I know what you mean about our guys humoring us, WWM. My bf prefers junk food to “healthy” food, but he will eat the healthy stuff I cook to humor me, I believe. Just like the beans and greens that he ate last night. Fresh kale and garbanzo beans (and a bunch of other seasonings, etc)…I thought it was delicious, but he does not like kale that much…although I force him to eat it a couple times a week…even our cats eat it (raw) everday and they love it!

Kilroy, they really don’t provide that information. I have their site on my homepage because they have wonderful recipes. You just have to look at the ingredients and kind of estimate the nutritional information.

And I can honestly say that I have never seen a recipe involving Spam on their site! 🙂

Kilroy…it is at the bottom of the recipe…click on:

    find out more…

    see nutritional analysis

It gives you the basic info…does not go into very much detail

And some of the recipes do not have any nutritional info…that stinks!

No, they don’t tell you much, and on some recipes they don’t tell you anything (like the salt & pepper fries)

Thanks though, Dee, both for posting this and for trying to help poor addled me. I think I’ll still probably try some of these.

Wonder if WWM will make Salt and Pepper fries?

I’m planning to leave out the salt, if you can believe that. I hate the stuff as much as WWM does.

MC…you are missing out on lots of flavor in your cooking by not using any salt at all. If you are cooking with unprocessed foods, you need a bit of salt to bring out the flavors. Sometimes just a few grains of sea salt is all you need. No good chef worth his/her salt cooks without salt. tee hee

haha! Well, if you are cooking with lots of herbs and spices, your food probably is not bland-tasting…it may just be “missing” something…probably a bit of salt. If you cook with lots of processed foods, then you really don’t need the added salt…processed foods are loaded with sodium, as we all know.
