    Hi everyone um..well i was wondering if i can use a human nail clipper to clip my kitten’s nails a bit, because im getting too scratched up for my liking and i don’t want my family to see those scratches because they might get the wrong idea 🙁

    Yes, I use fingernail clippers for people to cut my cats’ nails. Just cut off the very tips though and not down into the pink quick, which will hurt the kitten and it might bleed.

    Okay thank you! I thought one could use those on a cat. would you file it down as well?

    I don’t think you need to file them, I just clip my kittens… Make sure not to cut the quick though! That little vein can hurt if you get too close.

    I’d like to mention, it’s best to turn the nail file sideways, so it is clipping the nail up and down and not flat like our own nails. If you’re not careful it’s easy to crush kitty nails.

    Im proud of my little man he did soooo god for me when i clipped his front paws. And i didn’t file them either 🙂

    Would a kitten be kinda mean after clipping their nails? Because Loki is being a little butt head to me and my fiancee. He bites our hands real hard sometime then normal when he does to play.

    I don’t think your wee Loki is upset about the nail clipping. This is typical behavior for a kitten but you need to re-direct his aggressiveness from your body to toys. Please read this link as it has information on how to train a kitten to play nice.

    Dear PG, he seems not to listen to me that much but he listens to his daddy more lol so i guess he got to try him 😆
