Imagine a world where our favorite furry companions had thumbs-Opposable ones. Thumbs that allowed them to open their own tins of food? Today aims to give us all pause for thought and think about how different our lives would be if Mittens or Fido joined the ranks of the species with opposable thumbs. Is this what makes us humans so special? Let’s ask the kits…

I think we all know the answer to the question, two words: World Domination

Happy Caturday! Power is back on after being out overnight. I’ll be happy not to drive through falling debris and white out conditions anytime soon. In addition to the top of a tree shearing off, there are limbs and branches down, but so far we don’t see any property damage. It’s not as windy as yesterday but windy enough to send chunks of ice flying.

Leela sees no need for opposable thumbs; she is purrfectly happy having everything done for her!

Yikes Joan! … Dau was also having terrible weather in Philly/Delaware …. meanwhile, down deep south in Fla. Son and company are enjoying a beach/boating day with mid 70s purrfect weather for his b’day bash with the millenial crowd ….

Strawberry festival was very fun yesterday, I love the arts/crafts expos, bought a solar garden fixture (yes, it had cats involved) to put around my pond, Son and GF were all about it …. ended a fun day with a stop at a local winery, famous for their strawberry wine (too sweet for me), but they also make good melot and cab, along with craft beers …. lots of fun fair food – french fries with lots of salt (looks quickly for WWM), corn on the copy eaten right off the ear with the husks pulled back and dipped in butter, and of course Son, Mr. AV and GF had to sample the famous strawberry short cake, which is what everyone (except me cause I don’t like strawberrys) comes for ….

Today, I got up/working early, all boxes changed, house dusted/vaccumed/mopped, so now relaxing before Mr. AV and I go out for our usual Saturday date night …. my neck crick is still terrible, so I’m iciing it in hopes of some relief …. hope ya’ll are having a great Caturday!

AV, is there anything more aggravating and exhausting than a relentless neck crick?! One wrong minute of sleeping crooked, and then days of the PITA neck crick! I vote for a massage and soon!

Dau and I went and got our nails redone–it looks and feels so good and would have had pedicures too, but Saturdays are busy so we didn’t get our toes done. I need to do it sooner than later…my feet are scaring me!

Dau has a orangie cat that looks like the one above with the opposable thumbs..his paws are so big that they look like catcher’s mitts. I love trimming his toes though, he has an extra claw in between his thumb and forefinger…so cute. He is a BIG cat.

Dorry with opposable thumbs … I shudder to think of the outcome! 😮

AV, if neck crick lasts you might want to consider seeing a physio.

Got confirmation from seller than my Doc Martens will arrive via Canada Post. In correct size which was not precisely specified on order details email.I’Net says there’s a whole deal to “breaking these boots in.”Wow, sure hope not!
