Today we celebrate bartenders who are the favorite person on a night out. They will keep you well supplied in beverages – probably of an alcoholic variety – at any bar or pub you happen to visit, as long as you have enough money and aren’t too drunk to be served. Remember to always be friendly to the bartender, especially by being patient if you have to wait to be served. Kits love their bartenders, too!

Yea, the weekend is here. Woohoo!
    Have a happy~

Today’s theme couldn’t be more prefect considering the vid I have just watched. Video in article below. Be a devil and make it full screen.

I didn’t make it to yesterdays Cafe but I’ve never played tennis despite the local tennis club being 5 minutes way and as for the scoring system ! !
KJ, I am always looking and listening to the birds and I have a large book of all the breeds of birds that have been officially seen in NZ in the past goodness knows how many years. It’s my daily reference as it has pic and tells you what sound the bird makes, how it nests, etc etc.
Sadly we don’t have cardinals here so I can’t even imagine what your bird was. Google images would be a great place for you to start though.
AV, bless you for each and every sneeze.
Well HRH Shadz totally disgraced herself last evening. Neighbours have a new kitty, a gorgeous 5-6 month old fluffyish grey with white socks girl. She has been over to our place once to climb our nectarine tree and seems completely at home in a tree. Last evening I heard a quick loud yowl and sensing trouble shot out onto the balcony like any Mum to defend her ‘child’. Hmmmmmm what do I see but HRH cornering kitty and growling and swatting at her. Mr MS raced down all the steps and ramps to the scene of violence and was in time to prevent any more whacking but HRH took a swipe at him and thankfully missed. He told her to ‘exit stage left’ in no uncertain terms and kitty made good her escape and shot up the tree where she is safe as HRH doesn’t climb that tree. What a terrible welcome she gave the kitty, such a grumpy old girl.

Can’t suggest any red birds, but we have rainbow lorikeets a-plenty in my parts. I’ve seen them described as ‘designed by G*d in her psychodelic phase’. And further north we have pink slugs: https://blog.nationalgeographic.org/2013/06/10/new-hot-pink-slug-found-in-australia-2/

Hope that link works – first time I’ve tried to add one.

Thinking my red bird could be red crossbill or purple finch. Scarlet Tanager has black wings, this one is all red. Looks like a sparrow who took a dunk in a can of red paint.

PM, those lorikeets are ever so pretty – I’ve a cable sweater in their colours – yarn is surprisingly enough called “Rainbow Stripes.” As for that beet-coloured slug – simultaneously fascinated and ewww! 😉

Finished flamingo pink charity project hat. Doing up one more as I have th leftover yarn. Then I think that it will be back to the tried and true sweaters.

Just coming ’round as I slept the afternoon away. 🙂

Naughty HRH – that was not a nice greeting, at all. 😕 I can’t open the Absolut file.

I really like the pink color of the slug but I’m not a slug purrson. As KJ said, ewww!

We’ve identified just about every red/pink bird so, hopefully, it’s one of them.
