Morning, SM! I don’t think I get GSN:(

I’m planning on writing something up about my dog-sitting/walking services today and putting it on Craigslist. I’ve never tried that before, but it can’t hurt, right?

seems like a gray day here in ny = not too cold, but the house is a bit damp.

    You think, SM?

I’ve also been toying with another idea. Instead of just offering pet services, I’d offer different services, as well. I’m thinking something like a jack of all trades kind of thing – helping with whatever people need help with – rides to and from the airport, Christmas/grocery shopping, picking up the kids from school/sports, driving older people (we have a lot of snowbirds) to appointments, running general errands like taking your dog to the vet, a car for an oil change your mom to the doctor etc.

I actually saw one post on Craigslist like that, too. Thought I was the only one with that idea. Anyway, I thought maybe that’ll work.

GD, just be careful with Craigslist..while most people are legit, there are some who take advantage of others and actually have killed people when they have come to their homes…so please, please, be careful.

Your idea sounds wonderful especially with the elderly!

Good morning, Poochi. I’m used to long days, so that would be okay. I like the idea of doing different things every day and also being able to set my own schedule.

Hi CM. I was thinking the same thing regarding Craigslist. I thought maybe I’ll make flyers to give to all my friends and leave a bunch at the tennis center as well. I will email out a bunch, as well. If it seems like something people are interested in, I could put an ad in the paper as well.

    Hi folks!

Rainy day here in NYC. I had a a brief break from the stupid headache last night, but it’s back this morning ๐Ÿ™ The worst part is that nobody has a clue what makes it better or worse. I’ve tried tracking when they happen and what else is happening when they start (weather changes, etc), but there’s never a pattern. They just are.

    SM, I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter. Chronic health problems are the pits, especially when you’re young and want to be running around doing things. {{SM and daughter}}

We clipped George’s claws this morning; they had gotten really long (so that’s what was buried in my leg the other night). He yowled a bit, but he’s mostly pretty good about it, and he gets treats afterward. Hubby is my claw-clipping hero.

    Hugs everyone.

gd – you certainly have abundant energy. i say give it a try. nothing ventured, nothing gained.

cm – that will be a memorable moment. make sure you have a camera. hopefully the haircutter is a gentle, patient person, otherwise it could be a bit upsetting. believe it or not, and i have very few memories of childhood, i think i remember my first haircut, or one of the first. still umpteen years later, i like to get my haircut cut, makes me feel like a million bucks, so very good luck with maddie today. try to make it fun – bobby

We are taking Maddie to a place called Snip It’s where it’s all for children’s hair cuts. Little seats, toys, etc..I am hoping that she will be okay. I am taking a bag to keep her hair too. I have my hair from my 1st haircut ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s raining here too Poochi, It’s going to get very cold tonight and possibly snow..I am in Ohio, so it’s coming to NY soon…

Kilroy, I am sorry you have another headache. I cannot imagine the he** you go through with those. ((hugs))

Have to laugh…I ate 2 crumpets yesterday for breakfast and they were to die for…anyway..have 2 left, so they are in the fridge..well this morning there is a bite out of one of them. So I asked Wayne how was the crumpet..he said..oh my god it was awful..I thought it was a cookie.Bwaaaaaa…I cracked up. I told him(lovingly) You num nut, you are supposed to toast them! He didn’t know that.

GD we have a company here that does something similiar and it is well loved! They pick up kids and get them to afterschool daycare for working parents and take those unable to drive out to do shopping, appointments, and etc. It is always busy!

Thank you Kilroy. She was in the doctors office yesterday and a student from the highschool came in to talk to the doctor. She heard the questions and went ballistic! It was her story that will be on the front page of the next issue of the paper. This student wasn’t one of her staff so she was saying I have to find out who is doing this. I laughed. It is a paper that is often assigned in psychology. You are right. She doesn’t like having to slow down. Unfortunately her body just does it for her.

Teaser hates having her nails filed, but Deuter loves it. George can make basement cat faces at hubby and run to your for treats and have you listen to his horror story about the awful ordeal he has been through!

Deb has been having headaches too. Can yours be tied to high blood pressure or medicine?

Good morning all – SM, CM, 2b, jCat, Kilroy, Poochi, GD, and anyone else that’s up. Hubby and I made it to Sawgrass last night. (It’s on the coast near Jax, Fl). Lovely resort, and the room is nice!! Just got hooked in with the hotel’s internet, so I can check in on my TDK buds! I kept Hubs laughing last night telling him about the thread in the hotel with the Egyptian yodelers!! LOL! Now I’ve made him paranoid that our tournament will have some god awful entertainment, and he might actually be required to dance!! It’s his worse nightmare! We tried to watch the space shuttle launch last night, and would have had a great view, if it wasn’t so cloudy! We did see it come through a couple of times, but most of the view was blocked by clouds. It’s raining today, but will clear up later and then turn cold! Well, cold for Fla. is mid-sixties and upper 30’s at night. Actually, dryer & cooler is perfect for golf! Hope everyone has a great day – boy could I use a good cup of coffee— this hotel stuff tastes like brewed carboard !! Yuck!!

morning all… woke up feeling incredibly anxious. Don’t know why. Could be cuz I’m upset with so-called man-friend. Have not seen nor heard from him since last Sunday morning. Generally speaking, that’s normal. He usually calls Friday afternoon, or shows up Friday night. Nothing, nada, zilch. And, no, i have not called him either. This could be the end… don’t see why it should continue on with so little respect. thanks for hearing my vent and whining.

He just called. He fell asleep last night. Kinda what I thought, but I WILL NOT be his alarm clock !
