    Wakey, wakey baby it’s Caturday

    Gingers Appreciation Day

There’s nothing quite like having a furry footed feline friend around your house and being the best buddy a person can ask for. The Gingers are considered the most affection of cats. Ginger tabby is a coat pattern and not a breed. Gingers are often red or orange tabbies are white striped with any shade of orange or red. Tabby patterns include classic swirls, mackerel, ticked and spotted, but all have the typical “M” on the forehead.

Here’s my first Ginger boy – Mr. Loki – RIP 😥

A pedicure and trim are on my schedule today.

    Cya and have a happy~

    Yup just wrong

    COA warning

Sept 1st the first day of Spring was our first ginger girls birfday. How did she get to her 30’s so quickly.
It has rained all day and it thundered half the night. HRH insisted noisily that she be let outside at 6am ! Way too early on a Saturday morning.

SO happy for KK and the two wee meezers ….. and you all know my Abby is happy dancing too 😉

MS gets two new niece/nephew babies …. and HRH gets a cuz! How wonderful!!

Today the rain returns, and we’re all watching Irma in the Atlantic …. looks like east coast Fla could be in jeporady ……

Son of course, is flying across the Atlantic today, he left CAR early this morning, and arrives in NYC sometime tomorrow … will be interesting to see where his head/heart is with GF …. I’ll give him a day or two to rest before my interrogation …. LOL

Today I will make a chore day (box changing, touch up cleaning) then tomorrow will be a lazy/sleep in day … Monday will probably be ‘back to normal’ for me, we typically don’t take off Labor day, being self employed, it actually gives me a day to get ahead of my week …. hope everyone is having a great Caturday!!

Oh yeah, I have a ginger boy Maxwell…he’s actually ginger and white. Such a sweet natured, calm cat–my only outside cat (unfortunately) because he is so snotty and I can’t get him cured. 😥 He never strays any farther than the patio to the front porch to the garage and front yard. This is why I have had him for so long, he’s safe if he goes no further. It’s not fair to cats if they are in danger of predators and the dreaded road, IMHO. I’ve learned this lesson the hard way. He is also brother to my Thumbalina.

Lazy, rainy day (the remnants of Harvey)–just a drizzle and cloudy. I’m sheet changing, then some cleaning.

Can’t wait to hear about your son AV, hope everything works out for him and GF!

I’ve never been owned by a ginger but was friend to Tommy, an old tomcat who came to me for food. The other local cats were younger and quicker and got the food neighbor put out. After a few months, feral Tommy let me pet his back while he ate. I remember posting here how happy I was, for him as well as me.

This is a good day to dedicate to ECB’s Lucy-wucy. Wherever you are Lucy, TDK will always remember you.

Thx all, he made it to Morroco, now 8 hr lay over, then overnight to nyc. I’ll be glad when he lands.
Some of you may remember Abbys boyfriend, big Sal, the neighbor’s big orangie that used to flirt with her thru our french doors…. he moved back to Puerto Rico over a year ago….. but sometimes I catch her looking out, and I wonder if she still misses him ….. of course she has Caddy now to interact with

Oh AV, that tugged at my heart about big Sal…Abby was so taken with him.

JJ, another heart tug with Lucy, I think of her so often. I think that thoughts are prayers and they find the ones they are meant for…swirling around them with protection and love.

    Concats, KK!

As for gingers, my Theodore (pic above) was utterly fearless, an implacable mouser, and had an unerring instinct for trouble. He was also sweet, gentle and affectionate, loved his tummy rubs, and had a purr you could hear from 2 rooms away.

Aww, I remember Sal. Makes you wonder what Abby is thinking about.

Hearing about Theodore makes me smile. Some cats are so memorable!

And Siver Grey Tabby Appreciation Day is when???

    But fur now …

With the fickle weather hereabouts not sure whether it’s the time to switch seasons closet-wise. Might do so anyway tomorrow or Mon, efurrything is always accessible and it is a fun distracting organization job, well for me, that is. 🙂

KJ, I suppose there is no such day because silver tabbies were never subject to the discrimination facing Blacks or Gingers. In some places, young ginger humans are taunted without mercy.

Funny, when I was a little girl, our family was owned by a Siamese. She got it on with a Ginger tom, but all the kittens were black. Well, the female was a very dark tortie.

A friend who no longer has a cat of her own (the last have died) has a lovely ginger tom neighbour nicknamed the mayor who makes the round of every flat on the block…

Somehow my dark locks have turned silver tabby.

Wait for that Special Day, Lagatta! In the Café we don’t follow days, we start them! 😉

As it stands my dark locks are still the shade that I came into this world with – Havana Brown! 🙂

My hair colour is very dark – many call it black, but black is really the colour of East Asian hair and that of some Indigenous peoples in the Americas. Mine is a shade browner: “Mediterranean” black. But I had my first white hairs at 16 – it runs in my family. My mum was very grey at 40, and was 42 when I was born. My youngest uncle is quite old but while his hair is all white, he still has a beautiful crop of curly hair, and he must be 8o.

I hid my greys for some years, but eventually it harmed the hair, so I preferred grey to nasty looking hair.

As for Livia, she entertains no doubts about her beauty, and I’m sure Dorry is the same. And as usual, they are right.
