Pause for a moment and imagine a powerful man in command of himself and the world. If you’ve just imagined a man in a suit and tie (and you know the tie is mandatory) then you’ll understand why the noble necktie has its own month. What’s it all about though? Well, it starts back in the 1600’s during the Croatian war, when the mercenaries’ cravats caught the Parisian attention and became integrated into their fashion culture. The modern tie made its appearance in the late 1800’s, sometime after the ascot was created. What’s cuter than a kit in a tie? A kit in a bowtie!

I’m attending the school orchestra performance Saturday evening. My great niece, who plays the violin, is first chair.

After Troy, its off to bed. Last night I fell asleep in the recliner. The gang was very comfy – Miss Gaea on my chest, Miss Moppet on my stomach and LilBit between my ankles.

    Enjoy your Caturday

    Cya l8r and have a happy~

Aww…kittens in bow ties….sweet! I love the idea of “catching the red dot” being on a cat’s resume. Made me think of what my own cats would include on their resume….they are quite skilled!

PG…we just went to the Jacksonville Youth Symphony Orchestra this week, so we did the concert thing too. It was a wonderful concert. It had been so long since we had seen live music. And, now that son is playing violin the first chair thing caught my eye, and, of course immediately became a goal for younger son (in my mind…I’ll let him come up with his own goals…lol). He does have a knack for music though. He’s super enjoying the violin….it’s really a delight for me to watch as a parent. That’s wonderful that your niece is first chair!

KZ, loved the mouse story. Sorry it didn’t have a happier ending. Just curious…is there anything to worry about when a mouse bites a human as far as disease goes?

Hi everyone – the kit in my new avatar is none other than Baby Leela!
Impressive for having caught the red dot to be on a kit’s resume! Does anyone every wonder why, when you get called into a meeting, they say, “do you know why we called you in here?” Sounds like some sort of power joke to me.
    I’m off to the market.

JJ, it is some of a power joke – IMHO more like a power trip! Trying to make one feel like one has done something wrong as has anyone ever been called in with that phrasing to get promo? Hmmm …

I too was as curious as a kit as to which of your noir crew was you new avatar star. So Miss Leela is posting “younger” pics of herself. Hmmm … 😉

Slept day away. and had to-destress just a bit as it got a tad stressful at Knitting Circle. It happens in group settings. I have mentioned that among the many fun participants, there is an “older” woman who demands attention and def qualifies as a “B.” Well she had no ans for one person’s Q. I offered reply, thinking that it was free country. Well this “B” laced into me. I basically gave back better than I got and told her to “shut up.” I can be quite caustic when it’s callled for and this “B” has probs, but still no excuse. Manager apologized to me. I will for sure keep out of “B’s” way as the rest of activity is way fun. We need rules/moderator it would seem. 🙄

Might seem like a small thing, but upcoming wk is going to be stressor and I did not need this.

Anyway off to score me a latte. And then finish putting together newest sweater.

PG, I recall when grrrls wore ties as fashion statement. I don’t know how to tie a tie anyway and did not go to posh private school where tie was part of uniform, although my private school did have uniform. 😉

KJ, so sorry about the ‘B’–seems they are everywhere, but in small, intimate groups it would be WAAAYYY NOT FUN. When you talk about sleeping the day away, I am sometimes very envious. Seems between taking care of Avery and the pain of this hip, sleep is elusive. A day of napping in my wonderful bed sounds like shangrila. This may just be what I need tomorrow, as the weather is going to turn into a nasty mix of snow, rain and a mix of in between.

I checked with Mr. KZ about the mouse bite, and it did not break the skin. He is current on his tetanus shot, and after looking up on what mice can carry–good grief, we should all be worried. 😳 😮

KZ, yeah, even with his pampurred lifestyle and my brushing his teef after my cat-bite exp I learned Dorry’s mouth – well by nature not clean. I’m sure that you know all this. If Mr. KZ’s bite swells up, gets hot, red and or painful, or oozes stuff, then a trip to MD for checking out/purrhaps antibiotic would be a plan.

Yeah, the Knitting Circle. Well, it might sound a bit schoolyard, and I like to think of myself as an adult and one prob person is not a deal breaker. Or should not be. Plan is that I will I will not sit near her/ pretend she’s not there. This is not first time she has indicated that she has probs. And I am not the only one aware of this, but she did start with me as I refuse to indulge her supposed needs. *Sigh*

Think that we might get similar weather. You’re prob way busier than me, but taking a day off should not be impossible. I take care of Dorry’s needs and then just get back into bed – currently featuring flannel top sheet to ward off chill – then sleep. I wake up somewhat recharged. Then have to be diligent as in not staying up all night and thus ruining benefits.

Sorry that your hip aches. Can you take anything for it? Surgery is coming up early in new year, right? Should remedy this once and for all.

Now to finish seaming sweater. Which is a meditative process at times even more than the knitting itself. Would like to wash and flat dry it tonite, but not a plan. As in even running washer for like 3 mins to rinse might upset whack downstairs n’bour (has not bothered me again, but responses from bldg mgrs indicate that I am in the right.) I don’t need to ask for trouble and it’s not like I have to wear sweater right away. Can wait til tomorrow mid-am when no one can complain.
