” … The sun, wind and temperature influences water-pigment-paper! Everything flows, painting with watercolors!” ~ Adriana Buggino

Art has been an expression of the human soul, and a salve for the same, since time out of mind. One of the most ancient art forms is watercolor painting, and this month we celebrate it and encourage everyone to give it a try! Cats are the purrfect models! Les chats sont des modèles parfaits!

It’s the weekend. For what was a 3 day week for many peeps, it felt like a month! Maybe you can gather up some water colors and paint the afternoon away…or not.

    Cya and have a happy~

Morning PG ! Great pics today, I should get paints back out, it’s been way too long …

Got a lazy day planned, but will need to do a few work related things to get caught up from the short week!

Have a great day all, 100 degrees coming…..

Hi all – watercolor is so pretty! It’s been too long since I have painted too.
Niece and her hubby and baby Tyler are on their way home from vacay. I took one last walk through the condo this morning and found a hairball. Let’s just say I’m glad I had shoes on! Theo pulled a few stinker moves over the past week, but nothing that got him in trouble.

Hi all from Sunday. The crud is hitting me really hard today, especially the cough which has appeared. I am mainly sitting quietly so as not to cause any more coughing and HRH is curled up on my chest snorting with a blocked nose. She will have a v-e-t appointment tomorrow with any luck to see how he can ease her breathing problems and if she has an infection or not. she definitely isn’t herself, can’t smell her food so isn’t eating as much.

Beautiful pics. Tks PG and MS. Esp. like the self-purrtrait kit who sees himself as a tiger. And the painted lizard, well it’s actually a good idea.

MS, I hope that your health issues ease up soon, you’re for sure having a time of it. Hope that the v.e.t. gets poor HRH sorted out too.

Having gotten some decent rest today I’m planning to finish a cable section on cotton “Flamingo” shade sweater (actually it sorta resembles the pink of ballet costumes and pointe shoes) and then head to bed. Doing 10:30 spin class probably for foreseeable future and then can dedicate pm to ideally finishing project. Yes!

Die Zeit, die man mit Katzen verbringt, ist niemals verlorene Zeit.

I haven’t painted much of late, but feel the need to do so. I couldn’t paint or draw after the conclusion of a relationship; it is just as well that I didn’t paint tortured or violent images of what I wanted to do to him (don’t worry, I’m actually a very peaceful person)!

Cats are actually difficult models because they move constantly; even in sleep. It is better to do several quick sketches of one’s feline model and incorporate the dimensions and particulars of the feline (no, all black cats don’t look the same).

Kj, isn’t that colour actually called ballet pink? Ballet pink is a bit more peachy and more flattering to the different tones of human skin.

MS, I do hope you are feeling better, as your days get longer (and ours shorter). It won’t be obvious for a few weeks more.
