    Cat lovers can really get into this day. If you’re a cat lover, you can really appreciate the warm, cozy feeling you get when you curl up on a chair and hug your cat. The only problem is your cat will most likely only allow a brief hug before sauntering away. If your cat is a true hugger, count your blessings. You don’t have a cat? We have a deal for you because it’s Adopt a Cat Month.

    OH PG, the pics today made my eyes tear up! When I got up this morning, little Peso was on the second step of the stairway…could he be looking for Meowmy? Or following big cats up the stairs for ‘get Meowmy up for feeding’ training?! 😆
    Joan, you and Dewey are on my mind this morning. I know your heart must be heavy. There is no use in second guessing yourself, but I know the feeling of regret that you get because you didn’t take that next step. You trust them to come home because they know where it’s safe. Yes, it’s a hard life for outside cats that seemingly have everything, but we can’t bring them all inside. (Although Mr. KZ is thinking that I AM bringing them all inside!) (((JJ)))

    Morning all! ….. love the pics! Abby will let ME hug her ….. no one else …. Caddy allows short hugs, but will sit in my lap for an hour or more now ….

    ((((Joan)))) …. still hopeful Dewey returns …. he could be trapped somewhere, but like KZ, I know the feeling, I worry about Caddy all the time!

    A hot and sunny Caturday dawns here … I slept in somewhat, Mr. AV and I went out to dinner and a comedy show last night with friends, it was fun, but I’m not usually out that late (midnight) anymore! LOL

    Got handy Scottie, Scottie Jr. and Mr. AV all slinging hammers today ….. *sighs* …… not my favorite, but it’s gotta be done …..

    yay Dewey!!! He must have heard/felt all our prayers and TDK good vibes 🙂

    PG, Mr. AV is finishing the attic, which will be a kind of rec room/office, or whatever room ….. and yes, over the past decade, we have re-built this 108 year old home from the top down ….. truth be told, it would have been easier to scrape the lot and build new, but we live in a historically protected area of the City and they won’t let you tear down ….. we must ‘restore’ …..

    Abby is hanging out with me in my den/office today (doesn’t like the sound of hammers and saws), and Miss Caddy is in the rocker on the porch ….. a lazy summer day for us!

    JJ, I am rejoicing with you! Dewey, you little stinker, you scared your momma!! Could he have been after a female in heat perhaps? That is usually why boys disappear for a few days, IMO, that is, if he’s not fixed yet.

    AV, I tried to sleep in, but Willow was chewing my hair at 6 am, then I awoke to the sound of yakkage compliments of Leona on my buttercup yellow summer quilt. 😡 I gave up sleeping as I yanked the quilt plus yakkage and stomped downstairs and headed for the washer….

    I literally sat on the kitchen floor and cried when I brought him in, realizing it was really him and not Huey being unusually cooperative. I think I actually experienced a touch of shock.
    Happy to say the outdoor crew are all spayed/neutered.
    After a bit of “geez I missed you” jabs from Mac, they settled their differences and all three boys have been sprawled out on the bed all afternoon. I put the baby gate up by the stairs in the hopes of keeping baby Aslan from pestering them.
    Going to be a wreck when he decides he wants to go out.

    Aww, Joan! I love the menetal picture of all three on the bed together….sweet!

    My inlaws stayed for just 24 hours but it was a nice visit. They loved the kitchen and the house. We had a little belated birthday celebration for younger son. They usually try to make it up for or close to the boys’ birthdays.
