I hope this is okay to ask here but are the cat treats (like party mix) actually healthy for a cat to eat? Is it junk food?

I know I should ask a vet but well..

Just like with humans treats are best in moderation. Keep them as a treat and not too many at once.

Yes MS is right .. Treats in moderation are fine .. Stay away from any Hartz products though there have been a lot of issues with Hartz products..

The one treat that cat love are raw chicken wings 🙂 they go mad for them and there are a great treat to help clean your cats teeth… Just make sure it’s raw and fresh ..

Thank you! I didn’t know that about Hartz products so I will stay away from that stuff. Raw chicken wings!? I will definitely try that. Thanks again :).

My trio/kits enjoy Greenies as daily treats – just a few for each of them!

    Adding FYI link:

What about treats with cat nip in the ingredients? My cat’s like them but I’ve read conflicting reports about them. Am’I worrying to much?

Tried “Greenies” Catnip treats – my kits weren’t thrilled w/them as much as “real thing”.
Here is a link for home made nip cat treats:

I would check label for iffy ingredients.
Plus if you can google product as FYI- recalls or other issues.

I give my cats treats after I clip their claws. Which is about once every 2 weeks or so, because generally I forget about the treats! They love them, but I think that too many wouldn’t be good for them.
