Go get that kitten and take it straight to the vet. If he tries to stop you, threaten him with the police. (He doesn’t know you don’t want to do it.) That kitten will be dead very very soon if you do not and that @&()@$&*)$@^* you call a friend will probably move on to doing it to other animals and then children and people. Report him to your local animal welfare group. It is unlikely he will go to prison the first time but the only way to keep animals safe from him and to get him the psychological help he needs is to let someone know. If you don’t do something, he will keep on killing animals and eventually he WILL be in prison but a whole lot of animals will suffer before then. You can’t let this go on. You can’t. And for his own sake, HE NEEDS HELP.

This is very frustrating and scary situation, Tito. You need to go to his house, tell him you’re taking the kitten because he’s abusing it. If he won’t give the kitten to you tell him you will call the police.

This is not just an issue regarding the wee kitten. People who abuse animals and other people have issues to deal with, and friend or not, it’s not your problem.

Your friend needs psychological help, Tito. The kitten only has you to protect him, you are the only one who knows what is going on. When I think of the suffering and fear that tiny baby has undergone and the horrible death it will have, and other animals will have at his hands, I can’t bear it. I couldn’t sleep last night because of it. Take a couple of hefty male friends with you, take the police, take the SPCA but get that kitten and get your friend some help because he seriously is going to hurt someone. KZ is right, if he enjoys fear on someone’s face, it will be his girlfriend next.

Tito, your local animal control org might have officers who will accompany you to rescue this kitten. You really must take action, and don’t go alone. I would alert the police as well. Known fact that abusers begin on helpless animals and eventually abuse children and their girlfriends. Please don’t wait until it’s too late! Please!

Please get that poor kitten. Is there someone you can send in to get the kit since you think violence may occur if you go? Another adult. Can you call this kid and tell him the kitten has to be removed for both the his and the kittens welfare, since you said the 24 year old feels guilty when he thinks the kit is going to die. I sincerely hope this is resolved before the kitten dies. It’s our responsibility to try to help those that can’t help themselves, human or animal.
