i WENT TO tARGET and bought a 2 gallon water pitcher, cat food, litter, and frozen fruit. I am making ice cubes.

I got dizzy and hot in Target. the cahier was nice and helped me out and I got home ASAP. I have a fan going in my dark bedroom and it is nice. The cats are bedding down with me. that’s all I accomplished today, but I must get laundry for work done AND PLANT MY bee balm this weekend or it will be dead from the sun. I will try to plant at dusk or at dawn like my mom does.

Morning all, it’s a nippy day here, brrrr. Just put a chicken and leek casserole into the slow cooker for dinner. Airy is making me a coffee to get me warm again.

OMG – it is sooo hot here! It’s like living in a hair dryer!

To celebrate Memorial Day we are riding out bikes out to the Vietnam Memorial with lots of friends from the bike club. It will be a short ride of about 45 miles but there will be hundreds of motorcyclists out there doing a sort of Mini Rolling Thunder Ride. They will be here, and then ride to Big Spring to their Vietnam Memorial. There will be a service here which is always very moving.

Mr. WWM will wear a Vietnam Veterans bike jersey that I gave him. I will wear one that says “Riding for our Troops”. It will be a good way to remember why we have Memorial Day.

No way! How is it that everyone is complaining about the weather?? Thats exactly what i want to do too! Its so cold right now, i feel like i’m turning blue. Its snowing all over the cape & cape town, which means us inland folks just get the cold, dry icy winds and the frost . . . It usually only snows in the cape in like mid-july . . . Mother nature seems to be pms-ing a lot lately . .

Skyron I can empathise – I was working at the PC yesterday and my fingers were turning blue. We have a nice sunny day here – not too cold but I was expecting a frost this morning.

it was very bright & sunny today. Just not warm. Or even almost warm. I did some laundry today and the blankets kinda froze. I think?? They solidified. Had to use the tumble dryer for the first time in ages. Thats just weird for sa weather. We dont do cold very well 🙁 on the bright side though, i’m buying some panel heaters for the bedrooms this week. Been living in this house for 20 years – never really needed heaters untill now . . .

MC, I have the weather and temperature forecasts for several US cities where I have friends and family on my Yahoo home page. I think I want to be in Greenwood this week or New Orleans – temperatures in the early 90s there! Whereas ours are in the mid-50s.
