Swan is quite attached to a blue tractor and has been for years… some of the other videos are cute too, the boxer on the trampoline and the rottie & mallard duck sharing a biscuit
G’morning everyone, didn’t see a Cafe this morning. The marmalade kitties have the Cafe this morning, they are having the grey tabbies help with bringing food and drinks to the seats/tables, there is a buffet with the tuxies serving this morning. Whatever your heart desires is avail, we have the scottish folds cooking today >^..^<29 May, 2011 at 2:28 pm #665980
About to wake the husband up. We have a busy day! Gotta head back “home” to my grandparents for lunch with my dad, then the opposite direction to ATL for a get together with some friends. This will be the first time the littles have been alone for more than two hours. They are fully weaned now and they have the run of my bedroom. They’ll have plenty of food and water and fresh litter so they should be fine 🙂29 May, 2011 at 2:30 pm #665981
Bet the waterfalls are quite beautiful this year…29 May, 2011 at 2:38 pm #665982
Morning Kit, and they will prob bum-rush you when you get home….all for the attention they are so starving for 🙂 Have a safe trip.29 May, 2011 at 3:18 pm #665983
I don’t think it’s possible to give them enough attention. I get bum rushed if I leave for more than five minutes lol. I uploaded some more pictures and gave them their own photobucket album. 🙂29 May, 2011 at 3:39 pm #665984
Good morning, all!
I went and swam 40 laps this morning, went home and colored my hair and am now relaxing with a cup of coffee while watchingthe French Open. I’m getting periodic text message updates from my swim friend who is at the hospital with her 22 year old son. He had fallen and twisted his back a couple of months back and hurt it, but it had gotten better. This morning, he woke her up cying in agony. They’re at the hospital now and the doctors think he’s fractured his back they were doin a scan and he had a seizure so it’s just going from bad to worse. I’m praying he’ll be alright.
Other than that, I’m going to relax today. The dog I’m watching and I have invited GG over to go to the dog park later this afternoon and then I want to go check out a German restaurant in a neighboring town.29 May, 2011 at 3:42 pm #665985
Kit, lol on being bum rushed by the kittens! They are cute 🙂
Morning GD, hope that your friend’s son will be ok. Going out to the German restaurant sounds good, always up for that 🙂 Yay on swimming the 40 laps!29 May, 2011 at 3:52 pm #665986
Now this young man takes it to the extreme….
Hope that these open, great photos…29 May, 2011 at 4:00 pm #665987
Now I just have to get GG moving. He’s the worst at making plans and following through. But maybe with some brats or wienerschnitzel lurking, he’ll get a move on. Ollie seems ready to go to the park right now, but it’s too darn hot in the middle of the day!
Thanks Deb, I hope he’s alright, too. Haven’t gotten an update in almost an hour and don’t want to keep bothering her for news when she’s caught up at the hospital and worried about her son.29 May, 2011 at 4:09 pm #665988
GD, dogs are always ready to go to the park, they don’t care about the weather 🙂 Heck brats and/or wienerschnitzel would get me moving!!29 May, 2011 at 4:22 pm #665989
Good mid-morning everyone!….. just got back from Publix for the BOGO (thanks Dee) shopping trip……. I brought $35 with me, and my bill was $35.55 – not bad, huh?…….
…. going to make chicken sliders with cilantro/lime mayo, pepper jack cheese and arugula…… baked potatoe wedges, salad and key lime pie for dessert!29 May, 2011 at 4:27 pm #665990
AV, sounds like a tasty meal 🙂
On Memorial Day the flag is displayed at half staff until noon and at full staff from noon to sunset.
To place the flag at half staff, hoist it to the peak for an instant and lower it to a position half way between the top and bottom of the staff. The flag is to be raised again to the peak for a moment before it is lowered.29 May, 2011 at 4:38 pm #665991

Interesting info on flag etiquette, Deb.
I hope everyone has a good weekend while honoring those who gave their lives in service to their country.
Kit, I love the photos of your round, fuzzy kittens. They look pretty content. 🙂
Got to spend time with our son yesterday and our daughter and granddaughter the day before. It doesn’t get better than that! 🙂29 May, 2011 at 5:16 pm #665992
Morning KW, always good to spend time with family 🙂29 May, 2011 at 5:17 pm #665993
Hello all! Had to work today and now am watching the Indy 500! Its storming like crazy outside. How is everyone?29 May, 2011 at 5:25 pm #665994
MC, wish you could share the storming this way, could use the rain. At least you are home now and relaxing with the kits.29 May, 2011 at 5:28 pm #665995
Oh, if only! I would deliver it myself! I am so tired of all the rain and storms. My girls are hiding somewhere in the basement behind something. They have become quite skittish since the tornado and a drop of rain even “thinks” of falling from the sky, they take cover!29 May, 2011 at 5:33 pm #665996
Not the best recording but the first I found of the Indy 500 with Seal and Kelly Clarkson singing the National Anthem….
Awww poor girls, hope they get their confidence back soon.29 May, 2011 at 5:40 pm #665997
You and me both, I would love to see the girls when I am home! 🙁29 May, 2011 at 6:20 pm #665998
Trace Adkins singing Arlington with the video, very good job.
Mansions of the Lord (thanks WWM for posting this) it is long but worth watching…29 May, 2011 at 8:37 pm #665999
Wow, this rain won’t quit. I did get the blankets off my bed, washed up, stored and new sheets on the bed w/o interruption. The girls “help”. I am glad that’s done. Now to get my tomatoes planted once the rain let’s up. I am then going to AV’s for that delicious dinner!29 May, 2011 at 8:42 pm #666000
MC, at least you got something done today. I have basically done nothing except work on organizing one of two bookshelves. Now its that time to head off to ‘that place’.29 May, 2011 at 8:42 pm #666001

i WENT TO tARGET and bought a 2 gallon water pitcher, cat food, litter, and frozen fruit. I am making ice cubes.
I got dizzy and hot in Target. the cahier was nice and helped me out and I got home ASAP. I have a fan going in my dark bedroom and it is nice. The cats are bedding down with me. that’s all I accomplished today, but I must get laundry for work done AND PLANT MY bee balm this weekend or it will be dead from the sun. I will try to plant at dusk or at dawn like my mom does.29 May, 2011 at 10:44 pm #666003
Cheri, please take care of you! AZ, sorry you have to go to that “place” tonight!29 May, 2011 at 11:44 pm #666004
Morning all, it’s a nippy day here, brrrr. Just put a chicken and leek casserole into the slow cooker for dinner. Airy is making me a coffee to get me warm again.
Wow, great pictures of the lions and kudu Deb.
GD, sending Positive Thoughts for your friends son.30 May, 2011 at 12:02 am #666005
i have just got up and am feeling good again. i took the macaroni salad from yesterday and added tuna to it. that will be my dinner. i also managed to change my flannel sheets to 100 percent cotton t-shirt material sheets. they feel so light and nice. and they are a nice color – christmas red…
and i have plenty of cold water, ice, and milk…30 May, 2011 at 12:16 am #666006
OMG – it is sooo hot here! It’s like living in a hair dryer!
To celebrate Memorial Day we are riding out bikes out to the Vietnam Memorial with lots of friends from the bike club. It will be a short ride of about 45 miles but there will be hundreds of motorcyclists out there doing a sort of Mini Rolling Thunder Ride. They will be here, and then ride to Big Spring to their Vietnam Memorial. There will be a service here which is always very moving.
Mr. WWM will wear a Vietnam Veterans bike jersey that I gave him. I will wear one that says “Riding for our Troops”. It will be a good way to remember why we have Memorial Day.30 May, 2011 at 12:39 am #666007
WWM, I am so proud of you and Mr. WWM! Wow, riding in that HEAT! If we get anymore rain I am gonna scream. On the news tonight they said “chance of tornadoes for the next seven days. Keep your car in the garage, golfball to softball sized hail every day thru Wednesday!” Really?!?!? I am gonna box some up and bring it to Texas PERSONALLY WWM! Then I am taking some to Frankie in Arizona, he said its getting really dry out there too. And if SM needs some I am gonna take her some too! Any one else want rain???30 May, 2011 at 12:39 am #666008
No way! How is it that everyone is complaining about the weather?? Thats exactly what i want to do too! Its so cold right now, i feel like i’m turning blue. Its snowing all over the cape & cape town, which means us inland folks just get the cold, dry icy winds and the frost . . . It usually only snows in the cape in like mid-july . . . Mother nature seems to be pms-ing a lot lately . .
How are you all doing?? Hope everyone is having a fun/relaxing/enjoyable evening 🙂
