It is 5:48 am MST (AZ doesn’t change for daylight savings), have no clue how the weather is outside as we have no windows and I have been in too bad a mood to walk outside. Sorry, very unfluffy but in a ticky mood because I am working with a lazy butt tonight, would have been better if Natalie and I had worked by ourselves and just been short on the personnel side.

Anyhoo, figure the time is easy for me since GMT is not 7 hrs ahead of me 🙂

Wow Deb your workplace seems to be staffed with a lot of “unfluffies”. Joking aside, I do feel for you, having worked for “too long” with a slew of 100% total jerks. Take it easy (if that is possible and helps). Off to gym, hope the customary “unfluffiness” will not be in force *that’s MY bike* (said by a supposed adult). I am rockin’ a race jersey that I got last week from my fave instructor in her “stash clearout”. KJ, who has never biked on anything other than a spin bike, let alone been in a race, except perhaps a virtual one LOL. Anyway I guess one can dream and be inspired LOL. Later!

KJ, we have some good ones, and then we have some who seem to think because they have been here for a bit that they don’t have to work any longer….annoys the living daylights out of me! Nothing wrong with dreaming and riding the spin bike anyways, I couldn’t ride on a spin bike…my daughter loves it, especially if their is an inspired instructor 🙂

Good morning all! Adding my name to the list of fans of McCaffrey, Lackey, Norton and Weber – although I admit to skimming the parts where Weber talks about the intricacies of how the starships fly. My favorite sci-fi-with-cat is probably Robert Heinlein’s The Door into Summer.
I’m off to a mammouth quilting spree – see ya later!

Unwanted because he was blind and prone to seizures, a scared Golden Retriever finds a friend and savior in a rescued stray. They were adopted together

For sure not wanting to “steal your thunder” PC, but this is how I envision this weekend’s Café. Bookstores, libraries, kitties, they just seem to belong together.

Deb, *wish* I could be needing A/C advice! At present it is *unfluffy* cold here, frost on the ground (already!), broken tree branches, actually saw car window that had been smashed by falling branch (I assume not by hooligans!). And for some peeps *luckily not KJ* power still out after almost 2 says. After invigorating yet draining spin class, Dorry and I are going to nestle on the couch with the heat turned up and a hot latte, for me, not Dorry. Later.

Shared by Chihuahuan Desert Master Naturalists : “I’m happy to report that Monarch butterflies have reached San Luis Potosi, Mexico after thousands of miles (Km) of migration travel. They only have a few hundred Km to go to their winter camp. I saw them yesterday at dusk as they were preparing to settle for the night. unfortunately for the Monarch, soon after, a huge thunderstorm came and it kept raining all night and for today it has been drizzling.”

Only $106 … USD … then shipping to Canada (if possible) … then exchange rate … hmmm. If my experience with “bought” kitty toys, beds, etc. is anything to go by, Dorry would not use it. He prefers “my” bed, “my” cubbies and cabinets, bits of paper and boxes, whatever … cheap date I guess … LOL.

Well, don’t know if it’s already been broadcast somewhere, but I’m about to record the new “Dracula” series. Figure it has to be better than the much-lauded “Twilight” which I tried to read, but could not stand, mainly because was based on major false premise, that vampires can father children, which they can’t, being dead, well sort of and all (not that I’d know for sure LOL).

Well, with the time change it feels just about time for Dorry and me to cocoon for a catnap. Later.

Good morning all, it’s an overcast drizzly day here with barely a breeze and I couldn’t be happier. I may finally be able to plant out my pumpkin and courgette plants. I wandered into the garden at 7am to see if the slugs/snails had done any damage and disturbed a tabby cat sleeping on top of a compost heap. It took off and disappeared through the neighbours place, I bet the compost was a lovely warm place to sleep. HRH Shadz had a wee hiss spit and yowl fight with one of her admirer cats last evening, their attentions are becoming very annoying it seems.
Good news that the Monarchs are almost at their annual winter over camp in Mexico, I just hope there is enough trees left for them though. We have plenty flying around here but caterpillar hatching season won’t be for a while going by last years time table. I need to get more of their food plants in the garden and eliminate the nasty wasps that decimate them. Wow, what a great cat tree, there was a DIY tutorial in the weekend paper for a cat tree but the person doing it didn’t really seem to have any ideas of what cats need/want in a cat tree, it was barely a foot tall.

Just got an email from Mr. K (I’m at that place); he went to the annual meeting of our co-op and apparently the gigantic project to replace the heating/air conditioning in every building in the complex is running $45 MILLION OVER BUDGET!!! Yikes! And who gets to pay that? Every person who lives here. Ugh.

A lazy Sunday afternoon *Queen waves* to all in the Cafe…..

oh, MS, you should post pics of your Monarch butterflies when they arrive……. I’d love to see them!

…. had a ‘pop- bye’ weekend from Dau this weekend! …… since she broke up with her BF she misses going to some of the weekend parties that they attended together, and the one this weekend was at his house, so she didn’t feel like she could go ….. so we had a nice weekend of enjoying comfort food and she and I performed surgery (sewing) on some of Mr. AV’s under clothing that needed it – his favorite pjs (which are impossible to find these days) needed to have the waistband taken in – you know how elastic stretches out over time…… of course, that was after shopping all day for new ones – but either they weren’t the right material, or they had the wrong kind of waist, or they were too short (can 70’s men’s short basketball shorts really be coming back?!) I hope NOT! LOL

… Kilroy, that stinks about the A/C assessment! …… I see things like that all the time in the condo projects around here! ……. sometimes, it’s almost like another mortgage payment! ugh!
