    Hello tdk fam!

My two kittens, pumpkin and candy corn, will be 7 weeks old on sunday.
They eat and use the litter box regularly as they should.

I noticed it first with pumpkin, hes always been the bigger of the two, that his stomach was pretty bloated.
I thought maybe i was feeding them the wrong food, so i switched foods and i still seen no change.

Today i was holding Candy corn and noticed his belly looks like a big balloon. Im really worried. (Btw Candy corn went to the vet yesterday and got a shot for his appetite, fecal and some medicine in a 15ml syringe).

Is it normal for kittens to be bloated like that this young?

    Hi Caitlin,
I would wonder if he doesn’t have parasites (worms) as most all kittens do. I would call the vet and find out if the medicine in the syringe was a dewormer. If it was, that should help with the bloated tummy. I really don’t know what the shot for his appetite was, since you say they are both eating and using the litter box. Actually, both kittens should have dewormer at this age, and their first vaccinations.
Anytime you switch foods, you will see a change in their poop. I wouldn’t switch foods again, until the vet figures out the source of the bloating.

    Hey thanks!
The appetite shot was because only for that entire say he was sluggish, he wouldn’t eat.

I will call the vet and ask about the medicine though, but i think it was just an antibiotic.

Pumpkins swollen tummy has gone down and isnt hard at all, however Candy Corns hasnt yet.
