So I have a Bengal cat that we’ve brought home. On advice of the breeder I was feeding raw and weruva grain free. Our babies belt got very bloated and distended so I took him to the vet. The vet dewormed and advised me to discontinue the food as it wasn’t kitten appropriate and was causing GI distress. She advised me to try the vet only kitten royal canin. I have and he will eat it and the tummy seems better but I don’t feel that royal canin is a high quality food. There is by products listed in the ingredients as well as grain fillers. Can any shed some light or maybe some recommendations? I have been considering blue wilderness kitten but obviously don’t want to switch too often either. Thoughts?

I give my fur balls Royal Canin Urinary formula because one has issues with struvite crystals. I mix it with Science Diet Moderate Hairball formula. My cats like both foods. The only other food my cats have tried is Blue Buffalo. They liked the food but it made them gassy and bloated so I stopped that food.

Here’s a comparison chart for you:

Both good sources with A LOT of information. Read them through, and then you can make a better decision as to what’s best for your cat! Good Luck!
