Dorie, prayers and good wishes with you, my son had severe asthma since birth, I know how damn scary it is! Hope that you can get him into the doc’s today before it turns bad, this is a sucky time of year for asthmatics.

Dorie, I am sure they will let you bring him in too, most of the doc’s dealing with asthma are pretty decent.

    Dorie,

I just prayed for your son. I developed adult onset asthma this year after a bout with bronchitis that went to pneumonia, so I know how it feels to have an asthma attack and not be able to breathe. It is very frightening to wake up in the throes of it, as your son did this morning! I remember seeing people smoking and looking at them in amazement and horror–like, you are deliberately harming your lungs, are you nuts???

Praying for healing for your son, and for his airway to clear.

I am praying for you and your son. Having had a severely asthmatic mother I know how frightening it is for the carer when a bad attack happens. I hope you are now talking to the doctor and she/he is able to see your son straight away.

just gave him breathing treatment#3, his cough is not as bad (thank God) I think the steroids are kicking in. Were not out of the woods but seem to be doing better. The only thing is he can’t go 2 hours without a treatment so most likely he will be put in the hospital!! I pray not, But just packed our bag to be on the safe side!

    Thanks everyone

    Peace

I don’t know what the time difference is between you and me (it’s 15.11 here now), but I hope he doesn’t have to go into hospital.

Hang in there, Dorie… my nephew had some scary episodes like that when he was younger, but thankfully “grew out” (the only explanation the doctor could give) of it eventually. I certainly hope that this happens to your son as well.

His doctor keeps hoping that when he goes through puberty he will out grow it! As my other son did, but the youngest is 100% worse than he was! It’s just so scary when he’s like this, As there’s nothing I can do to stop it!

Keep the prayers coming It’s gonna be a long day!!

    Peace

Hugs & Prayers Dorie to you & your son. I know what that life is like as my big sister has asthma. It was a normal thing growing up seeing her carry around her ‘wheezer sqeezer’ we called it. She used to have to get shots every week. Sounds like you’ve got good control of the situation, but, will still pray for healing for your son
