    Hi Everyone,

I don’t know how to tell this but two of my kittens a month and half old were finally led out by its mother, the kittens spent all their time inside our house from the day of birth to jumping and climbing on my bed. But yesterday the mom cat stubbornly kept knocking at my bedroom door (1AM) signalling it wanted to move out and I opened the door and the kittens followed its mother but i did not follow, i could hear its meow for a while, it has carried the kittens by their neck and has relocated somewhere…What is this behavior? this is the first time I have nursed cat and took care so this came as a surprise that it still wanted to move out after all the love/fun.

Mom cat dropped by early in the morning and astonishingly looking on the bed and around the hall as though its come to find its kittens…has it forgotten it has moved them? then it slept for 3 hrs in the house and left it has not come back since…I don’t know the fate of those kittens if they’re really safe or not 🙁 this is the 2nd time it has given birth…last time it brought its 2 month old kittens which most likely followed their mother and I’m hoping the same to happen this time as well. Any help in understanding appreciated!

Mother cats do this sometimes, I don’t understand why. I had a mother who did it and I went looking for them and brought them back. She came into my garage and got them again….I went and got them yet AGAIN. She finally gave up as she realized I wasn’t going to. Your mom cat probably has moved them somewhere close by. You can watch her comings and goings and figure out where she is and go get your kittens. THEN, don’t let her take them again if you are wanting to keep them as inside cats for yourself. It won’t take them long to revert to the streets, so don’t wait too long to start looking. Let us know what you do!

Saddest thing to have happened…Mom cat said that drove away its kittens has probably lost its kittens due to heavy rain and thunder yesterday may have caused the kittens to die of it wherever it was taken to, today I see the mother cat sitting in back yard and when i called for it it’s voice was changed..was like a sobbing voice, she’s been sitting there since morning, I was also sad that it has lost its kittens, she’s not even ready to come inside the house…What to do?
